Everybody wants to be winner - everybody has a dream
We all need a shinin' star when things ain't what they seem
So tonight we're gonna wish upon a star
We never wished upon before - (gotta get where you're headed for)[Macie]
The past two months have been amazing. I can't believe how happy I am. I know that sounds crazy and stupid but the past two months have been some of the happiest days of my life. It's not the fact that I've had sex, because I've had done it again since that first time with Nick, but it's just everything since we've realized that we really care about one another.
I'm not going to lie though, the sex is awesome. Now I'm not sure what the hell I was waiting for. I say that, then I'm glad I did wait and that I waited for Nick because as crazy as it sounds, I really believe we have something here. Everything just feels right.
Nick's practically moved into my bedroom and sleeps in there every night. He even slept in there for two nights when I had to fly to New York for a photo shoot. It was over the weekend so he let Zoey come with me. She hung around at the photo shoot and during the interview and then we went on a little shopping spree. We even brought Nick and Zach something back. We went and got our hair done and since Zoey had never been to New York City, we visited some of the big touristy things.
And it was great just getting to spend that time with Zoey. It also showed how much Nick really trusted me, letting his daughter fly across the country with me without him.
It's kind of sad and I never really thought I wanted anything like it, but I feel like we're a family. I haven't had that feeling since I was a little girl and my parents were actually happy with their marriage. I never wanted to be a mother and I never really wanted to get married. But being with Nick and with his kids, I can imagine myself being those things.
Granted, there won't be a marriage anytime soon. It's almost Christmas and Nick's finished editing his movie, which he's named "Fearless" because of how fearless my character is in the movie. The movie has that documentary-style feel to it like he wanted and it seems real. If I didn't know that it was me acting in it, I would have believed it.
I mean, don't get me wrong. I've always believed in Nick and that he could do this movie, but after watching it the other night for the first time, helping him do the small, final edits... he could have a real career in this industry. This isn't some shitty movie that someone makes with a handheld camera and puts on YouTube.
This is real.
We've rented out a small theatre and we've invited some studio people to come and maybe, just maybe, they'll want to buy the movie. We also invited our families, mostly because he wanted his mother to meet me and because the kids missed her and because I wanted my parents to meet Nick and the kids.
And who are the only people that's going to show up? Our mothers. Apparently a NFL game is more important to my father and sister although, I guess I understand. It's their jobs. My mother, however, without my father around, is going to be a bitch.
I just hope I make a good impression on Nick's mother.

"Macie, everything looks great," Zoey said as she walked into the living room to see Macie making sure everything was straight. "Trust me, Grandma doesn't care if things aren't spotless."
"Maybe not, but you haven't met my mother yet," Macie said, looking in the mirror. She had on a pair of dark blue jeans and a silky black top. "This doesn't make me look fat, does it?"
"No, it doesn't," Zoey said, looking over to hear the front door open. Macie stood there, straightening her hair as Zoey ran to the front door. "Grandma!"
