I'm gonna run to you
I'm gonna run to you
Cause when the feelin's right I'm gonna run all night
I'm gonna run to you[Nick]
Four days have passed and I have yet to get a job. I got my last paycheck for "Cover Girls" until January when it becomes "Cover Girl" and the majority of it is already gone. I had to pay my car insurance, I had to pay for Zoey a uniform for cheerleading, I had to pay rent on Zach's instrument for band and I had to pay the cable and internet bill.
Rent is due next week and I have $250 dollars to my name. Trust me, that isn't even a third of my rent. I have no idea what I'm going to do. I've applied for every job I can find, from an editor on a television show to a custodian at Wal-Mart. Yes, I'm that desperate and apparently I'm over qualified for that.
What the hell, right?
My mother thinks I should just chalk it up to bad luck and move back home to Florida and I talked with the kids about it, but they don't want to. They love it out here and they've made friends at school and really like their new schools. I love it out here, too. I just need a job.
Macie has this idea that we can make my movie that I want to make while we're on break from her television show and understands that I need a job. She's talked with her manager and accountant and has offered to help pay for the film as long as she got an executive producer credit on it, which I don't mind. I'm sure she has a lot of experience in filming.
The only problem is, I kind of see her playing the lead character in the movie, the singer, and I'm not sure how to tell her that because of how she acted when she was drunk. I know at work, she was very confident and in front of a camera, she's very confident. I just don't know if she could play the character the way I see her. If I hadn't of seen her drunk, I think that she could.
But regardless, she loved the 20 page run-through of the movie that I wrote for her. Her manager loved it.
I just hope I can get a job or else, I'm going to be a homeless guy with two kids making a movie with a television star.

Nick walked up the doorsteps to Macie's house, taking off his tie after going to yet another job interview. This time it was for a salesmen at Office Depot, but they didn't think he was qualified enough since he had no sales experience.
He slid his tie off from around his neck and reached to ring the doorbell. He wasn't sure why he drove over to her house but he didn't feel like going home. He didn't feel like going anywhere else and he had no money to go shopping.
"Nick, hey," Macie said, opening the door wearing a black tank top and a pair of jean shorts. "Job interview? Did it go well?" she asked, opening the door for him to walk in.
"No, it didn't," Nick said as he sighed, walking towards her kitchen. "I don't think I'm going to get a job. I really don't think I am," he said, sitting down on a bar stool at a bar in her kitchen. "I'm serious, if I don't get a job, then I'm not going to be able to pay rent and well, I don't think the kids would like to live in the back of an Explorer."
"Is there anything I can do to help?" Macie asked, walking over to the fridge to get him a can Coke. "Do you need to borrow some money?"
"No, I'm not taking any money from you," Nick sighed. "But rent is due next week and the guy is strict. Even if I get a job tomorrow, it will be two weeks before I get another check." He opened up the soda and took a big sip. "Everything was going so well."
"We know each other pretty well though, right?" Macie asked as Nick nodded. "We've hung out. You trust me with your kids. You've seen me drunk and in my underwear," she said as Nick chuckled. "If it comes down to you, you guys can stay here until the show starts back up. It's just a few months. I have plenty of room and it's just me here." Nick stared at her, not blinking his eyes. "What?"
