A/N: I'm pretty sure I mentioned at some point, my updates are gonna be slower.
"I hope your groups have all started with their projects" Mr. Charlie's voice threw me out of my trance and looked around studying our faces, especially mine. Weirdo.
I sat away from Lucy and Liam this time who were with Emily, leaving me to sit down with two averagely popular cheerleaders who had probably slept with every senior guy except me and maybe that demonic motherfucker.
"So Leo, what's up with that hot new kid?" He keeps on staring at you" The first, Marie asked. I shrugged her off in an attempt to get her to SHUT THE HELL UP, but the latter, Diane added "Ooh....is he gay?".
I looked back at Liam, he had his head buried into a book that he read and back at Diane. "Nope" I told her. Well, I wasn't really sure... I mean, I did see him fucking my brother but every demon has a tendency to be gay...not entirely though. It's a not caring who you fuck kinda situation.
"Nothing much though, he just wants to talk to me about something" I shrugged Diane off, the gum she was chewing was getting on my nerves.
"What did he....." Before Marie could finish, Mr. Charlie clapped his palms garnering all our attentions as he informed "I'll let you all leave early today...so you can start working on your projects". I wasn't gonna answer Marie anyways so I just threw my backpack over my shoulders and waltzed out of my homeroom.

"Okay, let's get over with this" I threw my backpack down ok Emily's room as I plopped down on the uncomfortable sofa across the room away from the idiotic trio.
"Okay....so before we begin, we have a lot to talk about" Emily began dropping her tablet. "Like what?" I asked.
She looked at me and turned before saying "trust issues". My eyes turned to Liam swiftly who flinched.
I smirked mischievously and leaned toward them, saying "Trust....hmm...such a very intriguing topic don't you think?.. right Liam?". "Uhh...y-y-yh" he stuttered.
Leo 1 - Idiot 0. "Okay, soooo..." Emily paused as she was cut off by Lucy saying "sorry Em. We've gotta go, family calls". She apologized pulling a very willing Damian who gave Emily a parting kiss on the cheek.

"Well, that was sad" I muttered, laughing mentally. I watched as Emily bit on her bottom lip and stared at the door. I wanted to tell her, how would she take it?.
She needed to know right?. I would be a horrible best friend if I didn't but I was also very secretive. Lord, I'm very aware you hate me...but please help me.
"Emily?" I called. Her head came up as she gave me her undivided attention. All I wanted was to tell her the truth, apologize for freaking out and jumping on her bed till I sleep. Yes, I play...I'm not a sadist, entirely ;-).
" So, where do I begin?" I asked myself. "What do you mean?" She shot back her eyebrows contorted into a confused frown. "Emily, you cannot be with Liam".
"Why?, What happened?" She asked. "Liam, he's not the right person for you...he's the least person on Earth you can trust" I told her. "How?, What did he do?". I asked
"I'm sorry but... I can't tell you" I replied. My one flaw, my ability to keep secrets. I looked down. "I thought as much" she finally spoke, she didn't believe me.
"Please Em, he cheated believe me...I need you to believe me right now" I literally begged her continuing "he cheated...he fucking cheated". "With who?" She screamed, tears welling up in her eyes. I nodded, I seriously couldn't tell her.
"I can't believe it..... That you can be so selfish". She yelled. "I know right..... Wait what?" I turned when her statement registered in my mind. I had never seen Emily so livid. "Selfish, what are you trying to say?". I asked her.
"Leo, it's always about you why?..... It just has to be you and now the one time someone actually picks me, you want to stop it?".
"Em, it's not like that" I tried holding her but she moved her arm backwards. "Of course it's not, then how is it?. It's how it has been every single fucking time. Why can't I live my life Leo?. It's always about you. You're always there even when you're not. When In school, I'm even know as Leo's best friend. Now the one person that finally recognises me for who I am is within my reach and you make up this useless sorry to stop it?".
She hit me hard. I always saw her for who she was, she doesn't believe me. I wondered what she meant,. Did people really see her through me?. Why did she never tell me these?.
"You think I don't mind the stares and whispers from students?. I freaking do Daemon. I only bear them because I don't want to lose you, but now it seems everything I've done for you up to this point has been a mistake. The beatings, the oppression.....you deserve them" She snapped and I swear with every word something in me snapped too.
"E..."I couldn't speak, I was lost between sadness and rage, broken and destroyed, hatred and emptiness. I could feel the demon calling out to me, wanting control. As much as I wanted to, I didn't want to hurt her.
"Leo, I think you should leave" she paused. Did she just push me out?. That has never happened before. "Come on Em, it's us". I let out a forced laugh. "Out!!!" She yelled. I didn't complain, I picked up my bag and walked out of her house.
Hmmmmm...,I kinda liked this chapter. I can't wait for the climax. So after this I'm working on a new book. It's gonna be good I promise. I'm literally out of words rn but...stay tuned for more chapters. Maybe I'll update next tomorrow ;-). 😉😉😉😁💖💖
