A/N: Okay, so this chapter is gonna be based on how our two besties met. I'm also listening to Alan Walker's Diamond Heart writing this so......
Don't ask, I love the guy- Alan.

"Why can't I control this?". I grumbled sitting on the grass in the middle of the forest. It was really dangerous to be out there that late at night, but there's no stopping me.

I stood up and cupped my arms gathering all the thoughts of death, sins and darkness around me, gathering it onto a point between my tender palms creating a black yet purple sphere of energy. I hurled it at my target tree but the projectile swerved and hit another tree instead, I watched as the tree withered to dust.

"Gah!". I groaned, my twelve year old self getting quite frustrated. I mean, Damian could do this when he was eight and all I could do was a level 1-3 defense spell.

My black feathered wings had already manifested, meaning I had gotten into 'magical puberty' don't ask. It didn't matter if or not my powers were working, I could freaking fly.

"Cra∆¢xcz". I chanted in anger as I threw another devilish sphere at another tree...again, the sphere swerved out of his path of direction and hit another tree turning it into dust. At first I sighed but my face contorted into that of brief fear and shock when I heard a scream, a loud thud and something snapping.

"Ow!". I gazed towards the figure, black fire already blazing round my palms as I neared the figure defensively. The fire sizzled out of sight as the figure turned out to be a girl of about my age. She winced in pain and I looked at her ankle, it was hurt pretty bad.

What's she doing here this late?.

"Were you watching?". I asked, she didn't reply. "You". I laughed, remembering her from my class.
"Yeah me.... Since when did guys have superpowers?". She asked. "Since when did girls learn to climb trees?". I retorted.

"Offensive...and I can do more than that thank you". She howled in pain slightly. "Well, aren't you afraid?". I asked stretching out my wings and flapping them slowly. "No way, you look so cool" She gawked. I chuckled and asked; " So you followed me huh?".
"Well, I knew something was off about you and when I saw you headed into the woods, I wanted to find out". She replied.

"So you were stalking me?, Hmmmm. Okay, well now you know....I was too lazy to learn the memory wiping spell, so I guess all I can tell you is don't tell anyone" I pleaded. She replied "wasn't going to and maybe I was stalking you".
"Okay, your leg?....wait what will your parents say if they found out you were out late?". I asked.

"Well, they're out on a date I better get back before they return..and as for my leg, heal me". She answered with so much hope in hear eyes. "Heal you?". I asked back. She nodded before saying "I saw you heal that dead plant, why don't you heal me?". She asked.

"Because I've never tried my magic on anyone" I replied and she started laughing. My face crumpled into confusion, "what's funny?". I asked.
"Magic doesn't exist silly, it's a superpower". She slapped my arm. "Well I guess you're dumber than I expected". I replied.

"Ow!" She exclaimed feigning annoyance before saying; "Heal me, with your....magic" She put emphasis on the magic before scoffing.

"What if I mess it up? Like you know.... so bad that they could amputate your whole leg?". I asked. "Then I'll borrow yours". She flashed a toothy grin. Dumb kid.
"Doesn't work that way". I laughed.

"Okay too much pain, please heal me" She begged, this time with all seriousness as tears welled up in her eyes. "Okay, okay.....I'll try. Stay still, but don't say I didn't warn you". I turned to her leg after she nodded.

Unfortunately for me, the only healing spell I knew was level 7 and my Angelic side being 33%, couldn't cast over level 5 spells. I didn't know the spell, I just knew the words to it, but seeing the look on the girl's face, my humane side felt pity.

I knew I had to do something.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, recalling the words I read of father's tome as a green, warm energy pulsated round my palm. I tried my best without vain against looking at her face which would've made me lose concentration.

I didn't lose concentration anyways as I maintained my steady breathing and guided the green energy stream onto her fractured limb as I watched the green energy disperse into the desired spot and  everything went dead silent.

"Hey, how are you feeling now?". I asked her as her heavy breathing subsided. "I'm okay". She heaved. I was about to walk back when my breath hitched as she dived on me like lightning muttering; "Thank you, I knew you could do it".

The momentum from the resonating force  made me stumble back violently and I had to flap my wings vigorously to maintain balance as I held her back and two of us were suspended on mid-air before I muttered "Get off" and gently pushed her down laughing. I made sure she fell.

"Idiot". She cursed. "I like you". I laughed.
"I'm Emily.... Emily Jackson". She outstretched her palm. "Leo... Leonard Daemon". I took her hand in mine as that gesture led to the start of a beautiful friendship.

{•••••••••••••••••••••♥♥•••••••••••••••••••••}

Everyone was moving, I had no idea why. I was too engrossed in my own reverie to mind the outside world, at least I knew the bell didn't go off.

"Mr. Daemon". I heard a deep voice and turned to see Mr. Charlie who glared at me with curiosity. "Sir?". I answered.
"I said pair yourselves". He snapped. I didn't understand so I just glared at him in confusion.

"Ooh sir, he's with me...us". I heard Emily speedily speak up and I nodded anyways noticing the way she laughed with Lucy and Liam. "Hello fourth partner...welcome to the history group". Liam faked a smile at me, I returned a scowl.

"Leo, can I tell you what I wanted to tell you now?". Emily asked after we sat down, anxiety written all over her face, that was weird because Emily told me everything without hesitation.

"Uh, sure". I replied a little fear growing in me. "You...s-see....well, how do I put this?". She asked. I looked at her, an eyebrow up.
"Just tell him already". Lucy mumbled still looking down at her phone.

Wait, how come she knows and I don't know?.

"Liam and I.....are dating". Emily dropped.
"Oh that's coo.....wait what?". I shot back when her statement registered in my head. Sh*t.

Thanks for being patient guys lol. I kinda really liked this chapter. Don't worry, the fights will come, I'm nowhere near done, even in the written work. Read up okay... Sorry for this cliffhanger. It will be continued. XOXO.
