Thorin- fluff

"Lady y/n" Lindir calls from behind me. "Gandalf has arrived with a company of dwarves, he requests your presence immediately". My lips curl into a smile. It has been nearly a month since Gandalf requested I join Thorin and his company. I have stayed in Rivendell for most of that time, waiting for him to bring my friends.
Me and Thorin are close friends. My father was a trader of fine goods and made most of his money trading in Erebor before it was taken by Smaug. Once my father heard of the dragon fire that happened that day, he travelled to the blue mountains with me and my mother to help in whatever way we could. My father is of the race of men, and my mother has mixed lineage with dwarves and men. This resulted in my height being that of a tall dwarf and having the appearance of a mere female. We made a new life in the blue mountains with the dwarves. My father began to make a name for himself and was well respected as was myself and my mother. As my father is of men, he ages more quickly than me and mother do so he could not help fight or defend if we were to be attacked. I began to learn new ways of fighting and with time, I became a well known warrior. Because of my new found talents, I was noticed more often by Thorin and we became good friends.
I look towards Lindir and signal him to lead me to Gandalf. As I walk round a corner I see Gandalf talking to Thorin. His back is turned away from me but his body swivels round as he hears mine and Lindir's footsteps. His face is one of shock and he stands stiff. I can't help but smirk mischievously.
"Is it just me or have you got more grey streaks in your hair than last time I saw you?" I teasingly question. He bows his head and I see the smallest of smiles placed on his lips.
He lifts his head back up and says "Come here" and we embrace eachother in a bone crushing hug. "It has been too long since I have seen you y/n" he mumbles into my hair. I hear the footsteps of Gandalf and Lindir walk away so me and Thorin can have some privacy. We pull apart and one of his large hands stays on my shoulder.
"What are you doing here?" He questioned.
"Well I came to join your quest to reclaim Erebor. I am part dwarf so a piece of my heritage also lies in the home of Smaug" I say.
"It won't be Smaug's for much longer" he growls.
I place one of my hands on his broad shoulder and whisper "I know".
"I know that you would still try and come on this journey even if I disapproved of it, so I welcome you to my company anyway" Thorin jokily says as he puts an arm round my shoulders. He leads me down a corridor and at the end of it I see a group of familiar looking dwarves. I can't help the grin that's on my face and before Thorin can inform everyone of my presence, I run to the first dwarf I see which happens to be Dwalin; and tackle him in a hug. His body is rigid at first but once I actually inform him it's me, he hugs back instantly and smiles over at Thorin who is standing to the side. Each dwarf gets an embrace from me and I give their new burglar friend one to. Once introductions are over Thorin asks me to join him on a walk and I comply straight away.
He walks to the moonlit garden which looks beautiful in the darkness of the night and I sit next to him on a patch of grass.
"It really is great to see you y/n. Things have been a little rough the last few days and this, this is a nice surprise" he says as he points to me. "How long have you been staying here?" He questions.
"A couple weeks. And don't worry, these elves have been nothing but kind and generous to me" I reply. We both chuckle for a moment and I lean my head against his shoulder.
We both stay in silence watching the stars until I say, "For some reason the stars seem more bright than usual" and ponder on the thought.
"It is because I am reunited with one of my dearest and closest friends" Thorin says as he drags out the word 'friends'. I lean into him more and soon we are laying on the ground with my head on his chest. His large hands sift through my hair and I close my eyes at the pleasant feeling.
"I think I'm going to fall asleep" I yawn out.
"Sleep if you want. I will carry you to your room" he says. I nod at this and move my body to a comfier position. Thorin's arms wrap around me and he begins to hum the song of the misty mountains. My eyes close and I am drifted off into a sweet slumber.
