Thorin fluff- Bilbo jealousy

My eyes watch Thorin from across the fire as he tries to re-sew a piece of his clothing. His attempts are failing miserably and I see a chance to help. I get up from my spot next to Bilbo and make my way over to the dwarf.
"Having some trouble I see" I say to Thorin.
"This thread doesn't seem to want to go in the needle" he murmurs whilst concentrating on his task.
"Here, give it to me" I offer. His eyes meet mine and I can't help the butterflies that erupt in my stomach.
He places his garment in my awaiting hands with the needle and thread and gives me a polite "Thank you". I smile at him and get to work on mending his clothing. My fingers expertly put the thread through the needle and I begin on sewing up the tear his undershirt had.
"How are you so good at this?" he questions. I look up from my work and I can't help but chuckle at his bemused expression.
"Are you forgetting that my mother was the most renowned seamstress in Erebor. She was and still is your sisters dress maker" I say to him.
His lips turn into a smile and says, "Oh yes. Now I remember. She is the Dwarf who always wears- let's say, very 'creative' dresses".
"Yes that is her. Always wearing strange but oddly fashionable clothing. My father always looks out of place next to her with his simple attire and large beard. My mothers beard is more of a subtle statement if you will" I state. I give out a little chuckle at the thought of them. I get back to work on Thorin's shirt and there is light conversation between us with a few laughs here and there. I'm about the laugh at something Thorin said but am interrupted by a loud noise from across the camp.
My eyes find Bilbo trying and failing to pick up everyone's weapons that he accidently knocked over, not knowing the real reason as to why he's in such a pickle. Bofur rushes over to help and I smile at Bilbo's clumsiness. I turn back to Thorin and I can't help but feel butterflies again. I've been falling for him ever since I saw him at Bilbo's house. We had talked before the quest but never became close. During the journey I've been able to get to know him and I'm falling deeply under his spell.
My eyes focus on the nearly mended piece of clothing and I quickly finish it off.
"Here ya go" I say as I hand him his shirt. "As good as new". He holds up the piece and inspects it.
"A fine job you have done y/n" he praises and places a hand on my shoulder. I smile from ear to ear and can't help but blush a little.
"It was no problem really, an easy fix" I say.
"No one could've done a finer job" he compliments. I make a sound similar to a squeak and my cheeks redden even more. I hear some dwarves murmur profanities behind me so I turn around and watch as Bilbo storms his way over to us.
"Y/n, may I have a word?" Bilbo questions.
"Of course" I respond.
Bilbo's murmurs in my ear, "Alone".
"Uh yes, let us talk over there" I reply as I point to a tree a fair bit away from camp.
Bilbo's lips make an weary smile and his hands tap against his legs. We make our way over to the tree and I'm curios as to why Bilbo is acting strangely.
"What did you want to talk about?" I question.
"Right, um okay. I'm just going to say it so be warned. I haven't said something like this before to anyone so it could go pear shaped and-"
"Bilbo, just spit it out. I'm sure you will do fine" I encourage. He takes a big breath in and I smile towards him. He gives me a nervous one back.
"Okay, well I know we all have told you that you are a beautiful dwarf and such but, I really mean this when I say that you are the most magical creature I have ever seen. When I saw you laughing with Thorin I felt a tide of jealously sweep through me and I really think..." he pauses.
"Yes, carry on" I smile at him.
He gives me a have hearted smile and says "I really think that I'm falling for you" he finishes. "And I understand that you don't feel the same. I see the way you look at Thorin and how nervous you suddenly get around him. I just wanted to tell you how I feel, that is all" he adds.
"Oh my dear Bilbo" I mumble as I bring him into an embrace. "You are very brave to confess your feelings. And you are right, I do have feelings for Thorin. But do not think that I will not ever love you. You have become one of my dearest friends and I treat my friends with the same love and value as I do with my family" I say to him. We end the embrace and he looks at me with a new hope.
"I thought that you would hate me and see me differently after I said all those things" he states.
"Bilbo, I could never hate you. I still consider you a friend and I will love you like one. It may not be the same love that you had hoped for but I hope that is enough" I finish.
"Oh yes, that is truly enough" he responds. We look into eachothers eyes for a moment and bursts of laughter erupt from both of us. We make our way back over to the group and I quietly say to him "It's situations like these where you just have to laugh and move on, it will always be remembered but it won't paint the picture for the rest of our lives".
