S- In record time they drove through into the airfield and it was sheer chaos. Pilots scrambling to get into fighters, the dead from bombing runs splayed on the ground everywhere they looked. The command building had been directly targeted or maybe it was an accident, but it looked like a plane flew right into it. The Japanese insignia plastered to the burning wreckage. John ground his vehicle to a halt as the both of them made a break for their birds hoping they weren't already destroyed. As luck would have it they weren't and the two of them immediately hopped into their pilot seats.
"This is fucked.....Japan has some serious stones attacking us like this", Jarrod shouted. "Told you so", John said.
"Oh give it a rest! Let's get up there and send Tojo back home!", Jarrod shouted as the two planes took off into the air.
Z- immediately after the planes take off, two Japanese fighters dive onto the two aces' six, trying to take them out of the equation before they can take a foothold.
from their position in the air, the could see the ships in the harbor being attacked, a dive bomber making a run on the Arizona, the ship rearing out of the water like a wounded beast as the bomb pierces they deck, detonating the ammunition magazine.
S- As the two planes rose into the air they were immediately tailed by two Japanese fighters. John spun off the right and Jarrod the left. Jarrod immediately began taking evasive maneuvers trying to shake the Japanese fighter.
"Alright then Tojo... let's see how well you handle this", John said as his eyes began glowing bright blue trying to inflict a horrifying illusion on the fighters pilot that was dogging him.As Jarrod was trying to outmaneuver the enemy fighter a huge explosion rang out from the harbor and Jarrod's eyes widened as he saw the Arizona was the target of the explosion. It was the ammunition magazine.... and that was where Amanda was.
"... You bastards... your going to pay for this!", Jarrod shouted.
Jarrod immediately accelerated his plane before sharply slowing it down and spinning to the right in order to let the Japanese plane soar past him.
Z- the pilot tailing John doesn't seem to to be effected by the illusion, sticking to the American vampire's six like glue. It opens fire, the accuracy a little too close for comfort.
The plane zooms past him, before quickly turning to try and get on Jarrod's six, the maneuver faster than what his P-40 could do, the Japanese craft more maneuverable than his craft. As it tilts it's wings to do so, it gives Jarrod a good view of the pilot— or would have, if the cockpit was occupied. Where the pilot should be in any aircraft, in the plane facing him, there was nothing.
S- John narrowed his eyes as he spun his plane to the side dodging the hail of gunfire, but it was more than a little close for comfort. For some reason his illusions weren't effecting the pilot. He would have to settle this traditionally. John quickly lurched his plane upwards zooming into the clouds for cover he would have to stay at cloud level till he found an opening to take the thing out.
Meanwhile Jarrod swore as the Japanese aircraft easily spun around and he shook his head."God......why is it no matter if it's the Germans or now the Japanese everyone always has a better plane than I do!", Jarrod shouted in frustration.
His frustration was soon coupled with shock as the Japanese fighter turned and Jarrod got a peak into the cockpit. There was nobody flying the damn thing.
