S- The group continued forward opening the door into the main catacombs where the resistance was currently based.
"Huh.....skulls in the walls.....that just seems.....needlessly bleak", Jarrod muttered
Z- "Yes, but at least it'll make it less likely for us to be pursued here. It's an unusual place to keep your headquarters... and most wouldn't want to come here, vampire or human." Richthofen says, matter of factly.
"And let's hope your smuggler is fast, because I don't much like it either." Toki says, glancing around. "This... this just seems wrong."
S- "Fair enough Richtofen.....it definitely isn't a place I would normally want to step foot in", Jarrod said.
Jarrod then looked over at Toki and nodded in agreement. He had to admit his bullshit detectors were going off like crazy. Bismarck had made significant strides for the German army for them to have kidnapped him like that so easily. Something was very wrong."Yeah didn't want to be the Debbie downer here, but this has been feeling off since the mission started.....think about it guys....Bismarck is important to the German war machine.....yet we pretty much walked in there killed Goring and escaped with Bismarck without being accosted once....literally nothing went wrong....that doesn't happen....Kara even as good as your operations usually go how many go off completely without a hitch", Jarrod said.
"None to date aside from this one", Kara said honestly."Exactly.....we had a sniper on a roof with a sky full of shifters and he wasn't spotted? Plus it's been more than a little way since we took Bismarck.....no gunshots in the streets as they search building by building for Bismarck.....it just doesn't add up", Jarrod said glaring at Bismarck, "I think mister Cooperating over here is full of shit".
Z- "Ouch, that's quite the assumption. They've left me for dead before, and they have some of my... coworkers on the project. They sure as hell don't need me, especially with the harder legwork being complete. What are you insinuating, that I'm luring you into a trap?" Bismarck himself doesn't seem too offended by the insinuation, but feigns am offended look, that is obviously manufactured.
"Yes, precisely. Or that your "business" requires that you make it to England." toki says, matter of factly.
S- Jarrod glared at Bismarck stepping closer to the man his fists clenched.
"Yeah that's pretty much exactly what I'm insinuating buddy", Jarrod said officially getting in the man's face.
"Well I suppose the peace lasted a little longer than I expected......perhaps it is a trap perhaps not.....if it is we will deal with it and Bismarck should the need arise", Kara said trying to keep things calm
John glanced at Kara for a moment before sighing."Even you have to admit Kara things are going far to smoothly.....of all people I wouldn't expect you to let your guard down around the man", John said crossing his arms."You mistake me John.....I have yet to let my guard down once since Bismarck was taken", Kara said looking right at Bismarck, "In truth I'm hoping to be wrong, but expect he will betray us at some point and when that time comes I'll be sure to personally deal with him".
Z- "Which won't be necessary. That would be an unfortunate situation for both of us, and I don't exactly want to take on five vampires and a halfbreed alone. As I said before, I have no reason not to cooperate." Bismarck puts his hands up as he says this, one hand open, the other holding the cane he's dragged along "Besides, I'm unarmed, and if something were to happen, say some of Göring's rabid bats followed the halfbreed's scent, I'm as likely to be shot as you are."
