Camden rolls his shoulders to release the tension in them as he steps into the elevator, brushing off his conversation with Alexis for the time being, actually wanting to enjoy his last night here in California with Michael. Reaching the floor he needs soon after, he steps out and makes his way down the corridor while turning his phone onto "Do Not Disturb" mode to stop it going off with every incoming notification. He knocks distractedly at the door, once he reaches it, swiping through the notifications he's received during the drive over. Given how often his phone has been going off, he knew there were going to be quite a few, and there most definitely is. All of them from Alexis.

He looks up and pockets the device upon catching sight of Michael opening the door and leaning against it to give him a brief once-over. Stepping forward, Camden moves into the other man's space and briefly presses his lips to Michael's before using a gentle hand on the other man's chest to nudge him backwards into the room again so that he can shut the door behind them.

Camden smiles, nibbling the other man's lip as they part, before moving around him to take a seat on the couch in the room as Michael moves over to the mini-fridge and pulls out some drinks for the pair, drinks that Camden notices are definitely not a brand supplied by the hotel - Michael has clearly made a trip to the liquor store in advance of tonight's plans.

"How'd it go?" Michael asks, taking the caps off their beers before handing one of them to Camden.

Though he knows what the younger man is asking, he decides to feign confusion. "How'd what go? The drive here?" He smirks to himself as he hears Michael chuckle at the attempt.

"No - I was talking about the "thing" you wanted to do before you came here," He pauses to take a sip of his drink, maintaining eye contact with Camden the whole time he's doing so. "I'm assuming you made your mind up about her after all then."

Camden snorts in amusement as he takes a swig of his own beer. "You could say that."

"Well, as someone who vigorously rants about his beliefs on cheating in a relationship and what he actually constitutes as cheating - a list a whole lot longer than most female gossip mags feature, by the way - you would never even entertain the idea of coming here tonight for anything other than drinks and hanging out between friends if you were still coming to a decision."

The older man smirks, raising an eyebrow in amusement before depositing his beer on a nearby table and sitting back, arms spreading out across the back of the couch, somewhat putting himself on display for the other man. "You know... sometimes you're far too perceptive."

"I doubt you mind that much, especially when I use that perceptiveness in other ways."

Camden laughs, tipping his head back. "You already know the answer to that."

He hears Michael hum in agreement before the sound of a bottle being put down punctures the air. He waits but finally lifts his head when nothing else happens, tipping his head in question to Michael's considering gaze.

"Are you sure you're not rushing into anything here? You've only just made the decision to break up with the girl you've been dating for years."

Camden flexes his jaw as he thinks of how to word his answer, thankful that Michael knows him enough to give him the time to formulate an answer without assuming that Camden is deliberately avoiding answering. He reaches out for the younger man's hand, pulling Michael down to sit next to him, the younger man's legs over Camden's lap, before placing his hands down on top of Michael's legs.

"Have I only just technically made it officially over between Alexis and I? Yes. But..." He flexes the grip he has on Michael's leg before rubbing the muscle under his hand in apology as soon as he realises he's doing it. "It's been over for me for a while. I want to believe that a part of me still loves her, in some capacity, but it's also the part of me that's been used and abused this whole time by her. I stayed because I thought it was the right thing to do, not because I was still in love with her." He feels Michael comb his fingertips through his hair and leans into the contact. "I guess what I'm trying to say is - it might have only just officially ended but, emotionally, it ended a while ago. I just hadn't physically voiced that thought yet."

"Until today," Michael comments. "Why today?"

Camden shrugs, "It's time I take my life back and start living it my way again, before I end up watching it slip away under someone else's control."

"That's fair," Michael says simply, making Camden chuckle. "So, what is it you want to do on your first night of living life your way again?"

Camden shuts his eyes, tipping his head back as Michael tugs his hair gently. "I want to do something I haven't done in a while."

"Oh, and what's that?"

"Spend the night with someone that isn't going to play with me and throw me away tomorrow morning."

"How do you know I won't throw you out tomorrow and demand to never see you again?" Michael smirks, already shifting in his seat.

"Because I trust you." Camden states, before helping Michael stand up and letting the younger man pull him up too, his lips and teeth finding a temporary home on Camden's neck as they stumble towards the bed. Camden pushes Michael back once they reach the bed, his hungry gaze watching the other man settle himself before pulling off his own shirt. "And you haven't thrown me away yet, so I know you won't now."

Michael's eyes dance across his torso as he licks his lips before reaching out for Camden. "Never. Now, less talking, more doing. Please."

"Bossy." Camden teases, crawling onto the bed over Michael's body.

"You've had me thinking about this since you texted me earlier - I have a right to be a little impatient right now."

Camden smiles but decides to follow Michael's demands. After all, the other man isn't the only one who's been thinking about this for a while.
