Camden pats the couch cushion next to him to find his phone as it begins ringing, his eyes not leaving the TV that he's been mindlessly watching for probably hours now having sat down to watch whatever was on TV after getting back from the gym earlier. He tears his gaze from the screen when he finally locates his phone and brings it closer to see who's calling. Seeing a FaceTime request from Chris lighting up his screen, he presses accept before sitting up and muting the TV.

"Hey," He smiles, seeing Chris in pretty much the same situation as him.

"Hey, Cam," Chris returns the smile. "How've you been?"

"I've been good. What about you?"

Chris shrugs, "Just been enjoying the time to relax with this guy." He angles the camera down a little so that Camden can see Dodger lying on the other man's lap, Chris basically using him as an armrest to keep the phone steady.

"Aww, he's a daddy's boy." Camden comments, making Chris laugh as he moves the camera back up to show himself.

"So I've been told but I'm not sure I believe it - this guy is friends with basically everyone he meets." Chris' gaze diverts for a second as he presumably pets the dog in his lap before returning back to the call.

"What have you been up to during this free time you have right now? Because, honestly, if we started out with me answering that question then this conversation would get boring real fast."

Chris laughs before shrugging in response to the question. "I haven't exactly been doing anything that exciting either; just taking Dodger for walks, spending time with my family, relaxing in my own home, catching up on shows - like I said, nothing particularly exciting."

"Hey, at least you have a reason to get out of the house." Camden states, glancing around his own place. "I love having my own place again but it can get seriously boring when the only things you go out for is groceries, the gym and a night out here and there."

"That article made it sound like you were out a lot more often." Chris points out.

"I know - and I guess, at first, I did go out pretty often - but that got pretty monotonous too. I don't want to go out and get drunk all the time so I end up spending a lot of time here, on my own since none of my friends or family live in the area."

"Get a dog," Chris says and, for a second, Camden thinks he's serious before the older man smiles as he continues. "You'll never be alone again - everywhere you go, they're coming too."

Camden shakes his head with a smile. "You know how sketchy our schedules are so it wouldn't be fair to any pet - if it wasn't for that, I'd probably have more than one animal running around here already."

Chris laughs, admitting that Camden has a pretty good point. "So, since you apparently haven't been up to much, let me ask you this. If you could do anything in the world right now, what would you do?"

Camden blinks, processing the question, before biting his bottom lip as he tries to think of something he'd really like to do at that moment. He shrugs when he comes up blank. "I honestly can't think of anything on the spot."

"Seriously?"

He laughs with another shrug. "I mean, I love the idea of spontaneously picking something out of thin air and doing it - it would probably be so much fun - but I just seriously can't think of anything. My mind just forgot every single idea it's been churning around for days now."

"Okay..." Chris takes a moment to think, looking away from the camera to presumably look for ideas. "How about traveling somewhere on a whim? Maybe somewhere in the world you've never been?"

Camden pulls a sceptical face. "Traveling takes time to set up and make happen - it's not something I can easily make happen when I have deadlines, flight dates/times and project starting dates to also bear in mind and keep track of."

"I know exactly what you mean," Chris agrees before looking away again to look for another idea. Just when Camden thinks he's about to give up or suggest something as a joke, Chris seems to light up as he, apparently, gets an idea. "What about Boston?"

"What?" Camden frowns in confusion at the question, not seeing where Chris is going with the subject change.

"Have you ever been to Boston?"

Camden pauses, thinking about it. "Well... no, I don't think I have. But, what does that have to do with me not having any ideas?"

"You could come to Boston." Chris patiently begins to explain. "I offered to show you around if you ever found yourself here so, why not come visit my city? It's not like you'll be a hindrance or put me out since I already offered to do it."

"I can't just - I mean, I wouldn't have anywhere to stay and -"

Chris cuts him off before he can talk himself out of it even more. "You could stay here with Dodger and I; it's not like this place is small, we have more than enough room. Plus, it's way cheaper than staying in a hotel." Chris waits, giving Camden time to deliberate it for a moment, before prompting him for some kind of answer. "Well...?"

Camden hesitates for a second, wanting to say yes and do it because it sounds like a great idea but he really doesn't want to get in Chris' way or something. "Are you sure?"

"It was my idea, wasn't it?" Chris laughs, shifting as Dodger moves out from his arm to sit up and see what his owner is reacting to. Chris placates the dog to get him to settle again before continuing what he was saying to Camden. "I'm 100% sure that this whole idea is cool with me. You'll owe me a tour of your new home city to make it completely fair but that'll probably be something for the future."

Brushing off his hesitation, he decides that this is good for him - to do something on a whim, something that could turn out to be a lot of fun and definitely give him some great memories to look back on. It's a way better offer than lounging around his house, doing very little, for the rest of his free time.

"You know what, let's do it. I'm going to Boston."

Chris grins, already beginning to throw around names of places he could take Camden to while he's there, and Camden knows he's making the right choice. Now, he just has to figure out how and when, but that shouldn't be too hard since the hardest part was over once he made the choice that he is going.
