"So, what happened to you after Lena dragged you away last night?" Alex smirked over the rim of her glass beer bottle.

"She did not drag me anywhere." (Y/n) sighed, lifting her muffin and breaking off a piece. "I can't believe they had no blueberry muffins."

"Changing the subject."

"No, what kind of establishment doesn't have blueberry muffins? They are the superior muffins." (Y/n) stressed.

"A bar." Alex laughed.

"Luckily, I bought it elsewhere." (Y/n) smiled.

"You should just eat that double chocolate chip; I hear Lena makes you eat vegetables." Alex laughed loudly, enjoying teasing her friend.

"She doesn't make me eat vegetables actually, and she loves pineapple on pizza, so she doesn't have to force me to eat fruit." (Y/n) grinned.

"You two are so dating."

"We're not!"

"Oh yes, you are, did you see how jealous Lena was when I mentioned the waitress hitting on you?" Alex asked her friend, pretending to be oblivious of the glare (Y/n) was sending her way.

"She nearly killed me, thank you, friend."

"That's wife energy (Y/n), not a woman I'm casually fucking for a little bit to relieve boredom." Alex smiled.

(Y/n) rolled her eyes; yes, Lena had been insanely jealous almost to the point of possessive. Their sex that night had been on a whole other level, but (Y/n) couldn't believe it was anything more than a brief entanglement of pride.

"Tell me one thing, does Lena know about...you?" Alex asked seriously, her dark eyes penetrated through (Y/n) like she could see everything.

"Yes."

Alex nodded her head smugly and took a large mouthful of her drink. "Then you ain't casually fucking (Y/n), you're seriously dating."

(Y/n) frowned, someone should have told Lena because (Y/n) doubted very much she knew she was dating anyone. "We don't use labels then."

"Yeah, because we saw last night you two are open to all possibilities." Alex chuckled. "You're in a committed relationship, accept it, and embrace it."

Alex's cell phone began to ring; taking it from her jacket pocket, she smiled when she looked at the screen and saw Kelly's name appear.

"Its Kelly, she needs to talk to me," Alex said as she pushed her chair under the table. "I'm sorry to leave you."

"That's ok; I guess the blonde waitress will keep me company " (Y/n) grinned, motioning to the blonde woman smiling at her.

Alex rolled her eyes. "Don't do anything stupid, your pessimism and self-destructive nature need to be on pause tonight."

"I'm not going to do anything." (Y/n) innocently shrugged.

"Good, make sure you don't."

Alex left (Y/n) alone, the woman's blue predatory eyes still on her. (Y/n) turned around to see if there was anyone behind her that the woman was flirting with.

There was no one.

Oh, this isn't good.

(Y/n) watched as the woman advanced towards her and took the seat that Alex had just vacated.

"Hey, I saw your friend leave you alone; I'm Eve, by the way, we've never exchanged names." Eve reached her hand across for (Y/n) to take.

"Hi, (Y/n) she had to go on girlfriend duty."
