(Y/n) looked over Kara's shoulder at her computer screen.
National City Jewel Thief Strikes Again.
Kara was typing out her new article. After weeks the thief was still on the loose and stealing the cherished expensive valuables of the rich and elite of the city.
The police had no leads, and there were no witnesses. (Y/n) was certain the National City police force was useless at this point. She'd lived in the city for months and never seen them achieve any kind of success.
They relied too much on Supergirl and a lesser extent, Superman, even though he didn't live in the city. (Y/n) was realizing that this dependence would one day be destructive.
What I'd either Superman or Supergirl ever needed investigating themselves? Would the police force continue to treat them as God's?
"I can't believe they still have nothing on that thief." (Y/n) sighed. "It's hard to believe they first struck do publicly at Lena's party."
Kara nodded; writing the article had been depressing because there was no news or new evidence about the culprit. No one knew who they were. There were no clues of any kind.
The only thing known was someone liked to steal from the rich and keep it for themselves.
Beyond that, the police were baffled.
"Kara, I want that article done by three this afternoon!" Andrea shouted across at them. She had appeared from her office and quickly exited again.
Kara and (Y/n) watched her leave.
"Have you seen the blonde she's always with now?" Kara spun around on her chair and whispered conspiratorially to (Y/n).
(Y/n) nodded. "Yes, last week I went to her office to ask her something about the next publication, and Andrea had her tongue stuck down her throat; well, either that or Andrea is moonlighting as a dentist with a brand new technique."
"No way!" Kara gasped. "I caught them in the elevator."
(Y/n) let out a loud burst of laughter at the idea of Kara Danvers catching her boss in a compromising position in the elevator.
(Y/n)'s phone pinged.
Can you pick up my dry cleaning today? Unfortunately, I have to be in a meeting and can't get there.
"I hope that's Lena and not some secret lady." Kara teased.
"It is Lena. She has a meeting and can't get the dry cleaning. She wants me to get it for her." (Y/n) mumbled as she typed out her reply and sent it.
"Oh, very domesticated." Kara grinned. "What did you tell her?"
"I told her I'd do it, of course," (Y/n) said, rolling her eyes. "I don't know what is domesticated about helping someone out."
"Yes. That is true, and you help Lena out often, don't you?" Kara felt her cheeks turn red despite her best intentions not to.
"Kara, did you just intentionally crack an innuendo joke?" (Y/n) chuckled at the woman's reddening cheeks. The color was spreading to her neck and ears. It was too hilarious.

There was something very comforting about being in a stable relationship. It wasn't something Lena was used to, but now she had unexpectedly been gifted one; Lena realized she never could go back to not having one.
The nightmares had continued thankfully; she had been able to hide them from (Y/n) but only because they'd not slept in the same bed since. Lena had purposely avoided it. She didn't want (Y/n) to worry more than she was
