"I didn't want to kiss you goodbye — that was the trouble — I wanted to kiss you good night — and there's a lot of difference."

Ernest Hemingway

Namjoon turned the chips bag upside down, not even crumbs falling out anymore. "My mom is going to kill me for not eating my dinner tonight."

"Just say you're joining us for dinner, I have to cook for myself anyway." Namjoon raised his brow at Jimin. Finding it odd that he already had to take care of his own food at this point. "You know that my mom is a nurse right? She has unpredictable work hours." Namjoon nodded, now remembering that Jimin had mentioned his mom working at the hospital. "And your dad did you?" Jimin snorted and shook his head. "Nope haven't found that fucker yet." Namjook awkwardly scratched the back of his neck, regretting his question already.

"I'm sor-"

"It's fine. I want to know who he is but that's where it ends. I'll forever resent him for leaving my mom." Jimin sighed, staring in front of himself. Jimin softly shook his head before smiling at Namjoon. "Anyway, text your mom or dad that you're eating here." Namjoon nodded before pulling his phone out and texting his mom.

Mom

I'm eating at Jimin's place

Why?

Because they offered😎

Fine, see you tonight💋

Bye

"That's settled." Namjoon put his phone away. Jimin perked up, excitedly smacking Namjoon's arm repeatedly. "I bought an awesome shirt! Want to see it?" Jimin's excitement made Namjoon agree to it, normally he wouldn't have been interesting in seeing clothes. However he was already getting pulled upstairs at to Jimin's familiar bedroom that hadn't changed much since childhood. "Ever getting rid of those wooden racecars bumpers on the edge of your bed?"

"Hell no." Jimin said while digging in his closet. "So you'll just have a racecar bed for the rest of your life?"

"Got a problem with that?" Namjoon looked at the racecar bumper with a smile. "No, not at all." Jimin pulled the shirt from his closet, Namjoon shot it a weird glance. "Is that a-"

"Crop top? Yes. But like, it looks so cute on!" Jimin pulled his shirt off, Namjoon immediately turned to look at the corner of the room. "You have seen me naked and now you're acting weird about the shirtless part?"

"Yup." Jimin sighed before pulling his croptop on. "Okay yeah wow, I'm so covered up now." Namjoon turned around before his eyes immediately fell on Jimin's abs, who was staring at him with a brow raised. "Well... What do you think?"

"Looks good." Jimin slowly lowered himself to make eyecontact with Namjoon's eyes. "Perhaps my shirt would be a better location to look." Namjoon snapped out of his daze before turning red. "Right, sorry.. uhm no, it looks good it uhhh... It suits you." Jimin laughed at Namjoon's awkwardness, pinching his cheek. "Cute."

"Just because I like bugging you, I'll keep wearing it until you leave."

Jimin walked to the hallway, he was quite grumpy today. Probably just didn't wake up on the right side of the bed. Whenever Jimin felt like shit he dressed the complete opposite. Convincing others, but mainly himself, that his life was amazing. He looked extra fabulous to make all those bitches jealous. He stopped at his locker to switch out the books in his bags when an old classmates walked up to him.

"Hey Jimin." Jimin looked up, giving him a nod of acknowledgment. The classmate looked Jimin up and down and scoffed. "Wow, the lack of a father figure really got to you huh?" Jimin's eyes darkened. "Excuse me?"

"Dude, you look gay." Jimin closed his locker door and leaned against it. "Dude, I am."

"Wooowww, daddy issues on a whole another level. Didn't know not knowing him could have that much of an effect." Jimin scoffed, putting his backpack on the ground. He took a step forward before throwing a punch against the boy's jaw, he stumbled backwards from the hit. Guess his mother putting him on martial arts was a good decision anyway. "What the fuck dude! You'll regret that!" He lunched for Jimin but he stepped to the side on the last moment.

"Are you fucking proud of yourself now huh? That you got to insult me? That you got under my skin?" Jimin sneered, his eyes pitch black. "It was my pleasure." He smirked, before kicking Jimin in the stomach. Jimin shortly held his stomach before returning a kick in the chest. The boy fell backwards, Jimin immediately leaped forward, attacking him when he was still down.

"PARK JIMIN AND LEE RIM. STOP IT." A female teacher ran towards them, trying to separate the two boys.

-

"Rim you have sat in my office for this issue multiple times but you Jimin, I expected better from you." Mrs. Yim, their principal said while walking up and down.

"I have called your parents. However Jimin your mom couldn't leave so your emergency contact is coming instead." Jimin lowered his head. "Oh no."

-

The door flew open, an angry man in suit entering the office. "Jimin!" Jimin sighed before looking up. "Hi uncle Kil." Uncle Kil sat down next to Jimin with a glare. "Never in my life did I think I would get a call to hear that my nephew got in a fight. NEVER." Jimin looked away, towards the wall. At that moment a lady walked in, looking tired. "Again Rim?" She sighed, sitting down next to her son.

"So, these two got in a fight together. May I know why?"

"Jimin started it." Jimin's gaze snapped towards Rim. "You insulted me and my family."

"There isn't much to insult, get it? Because you don't have a fath-"

"Enough Rim." Mrs. Yim interrupted him. "Rim, this is literally your 3th fight this year. I'm expelling you for a week." The mother sighed, not even putting up a fight for her son anymore. "Jimin, considering this is the first time you got into trouble... Detention for 2 days. You'll help the lunchladies cleaning the cafeteria." Jimin shuddered in disgust, he saw with his own eyes what went on over there. "Okay ma'am." Jimin stood up and bowed, before he and his uncle left the office while Rim and his mother had to stay behind. Once out of the office is when uncle Kil hit the back of Jimin's head.

"I can't believe you made me leave work for THIS. I'll make sure your mother grounds you on top of your detention."

"But-"

"No but's. You did this. Be ashamed of yourself. I'm leaving." Uncle Kil quickly left, leaving Jimin standing in the hallway in silence.
