"You learned to run from what you feel, and that's why you have nightmares. To deny is to invite madness. To accept is to control."

"This man assaulted my son's boyfriend to get to him and you call it low priority?"

"Ma'am there is no evidence linking this boy to these actions."

"He has hurt my son in the past and has been brushed off by you guys before! We moved and he showed up again! Bothering everyone that my son holds dear! How is that not evidence!" The police officer signaled Yoongi's mom to calm down. "We won't further discuss this until there is actual prove."

"Are you insane????? You're endangering MINORS!" The cop looked at her, staring her down. "Go home, lady."

"I demand to talk to a female officer!"

"There are none present."

"You are obligated to get one on scene! I no longer want to talk to you. I want to talk to a woman." The officer sighed, muttering something on his radio.

Hoseok, Yoongi and Taehyung anxiously awaited the return of Yoongi's mom. The police in Daegu had brushed off the incidents before as wel.... Hopefully the Seoul police would listen to them this time around.

Yoongi's mom entered the home again, Taehyung immediately jumped up. "Baram what did they say?" She gave the three boys a look of defeat. "Lack of evidence, they refuse to up the priority." Taehyung's shoulders slumped. "Are you kidding me?" He turned around to look at his friend whose lips were trembling. "My baby I'm so sorry." Yoongi's mom called out, reaching out to wipe away the fresh tears from his cheeks. Taehyung sat down, sighing in defeat. Yoongi clutches onto Hoseok, softly sobbing.

"Why can't this nightmare end?"

-

Taehyung dragged Yoongi along to school, constantly looking everywhere to make sure that Hyeonjun is nowhere to be seen. "Taehyung you can let me go." Yoongi muttered, only causing Taehyung to wrap his arm around him instead. "Absolutely not, I will make sure that someone I trust has their eyes on you whenever you are outside."

"Taehyung-"

"I know, not your babysitter. But this man is dangerous. I don't want all of your hard work to go to waste because that asshole showed up again." Yoongi sighed, giving up. "Fine." Taehyung saw the gloom expression on his friend's face. "So how have things been with Hobi? Still good?"

Yoongi got a small smile on his face just thinking about Hoseok. "Hoseok is.... too perfect for words... Positive, kind, funny, patient, loving." Taehyung slightly smiled, seeing that someone outside of him could make Yoongi that happy made him happy as well.

"No fights yet?"

"Just bickering actually. It's been like three or four months, it's quite suprising." Taehyung squeezed Yoongi's shoulder. "Just let me know if something happens, I'm ready to beat him up." Yoongi rolled his eyes at that. "Oh please." He looked over at Taehyung, he seemed tired yet he had a different kind of glow on him.

"You're happy too right?" Taehyung deeply inhaled the fresh air. "I am. Hayun is... very different from the Daegu boys and girls I'm used to."

"I'm glad someone manages to get your head off of things." Taehyung smiled, looking at his friend. "Just know that I'm helping because I want to. Never feel guilty about involving me." Yoongi hummed, getting the same reminder Taehyung has given him time again and again. "I'm just saying... Your exes weren't terrible, but Hayun is 10 times the upgrade from them. You seem a lot happier."

"I treasure my exes for the things that they taught me, I just hope Hayun isn't going to get added to that list."

"You're acting like your list is super long."

"Having 5 exes at 17 is a lot and you know it. You only have 1."

"But you count all your elementary girlfriends too."

"Two girls. The other 3 were middle school." Yoongi rolled his eyes, Taehyung has always been the popular type. His relationships never lasted long however. The elementary school girls lasted a respective two weeks each. Then he had a girlfriend for two months at 13, a boyfriend for 1 month at 14 and another girlfriend at 15 for about 7 months. "Who of your exes do you like the most, looking back on them."

"Mirae, she was a sweetheart." Ah yes, the 7 months one. Very cute girl, chubby cheeks, big sparkling eyes and the reason why Taehyung dresses so well. "Did she go to that fashion design school?" Taehyung shrugged. "I don't know, I moved here so have no clue what's she's up to."

-

"Helloooo." Taehyung smiled, sitting down on the chair. They had homeroom again from their beloved Mrs. Choi.

"Are we ready for the top 3 again boys and girls?"

"Number 3 is Yun Jehwa!" Jehwa stood up, shyly bowing to his class. Mrs. Choi proudly smiled at the younger boy, he had skipped a few grades but was still doing amazingly well. "Number 2 is Kim Namjoon." Namjoon dropped his pen, looking sour. "Are you fucking kidding me?" He muttered, angry at the world. Jimin rubbed Namjoon's back. "Babe you need to take a bow." Namjoon snapped back to reality, slightly bowing before grumpily sitting back down. "I will eat my shoe if Seokjin is on top."

"Number 1 is Kim Seokjin." Namjoon grabbed his shoe, Jimin quickly stepping in and lowering it away from his mouth. "Calm down. Those are your good shoes." Even Seokjin seemed confused by the news. "Uhm, ma'am did you accidentally read last Semester?"

"Nope. You did amazingly well in your tests. I bet your parents would be proud!" Seokjin stood up, bowed and sat back down. Still looking just as confused. He turned around to look at the ticked off Namjoon. "I did not mean to stay on top."

"But you did." Namjoon grumbled, Seokjin gulped anxiously. How in the living hell did he do so good?
