“The vacation we often need is freedom from our own mind.”

"Have fun at the Himalayas. Don't die under an avalanche." Jungkook kissed Seokjin. "I'll try. You go have fun at Jeju okay?" Jungkook hummed, hugging him. "Jungkook I need to-" Seokjin tried pushing Jungkook off but he kept hugging him. "Jungkook I have to go-" Jungkook just hummed again, holding on. "I have to get to my gate-"

"No you don't."

"I will be late."

"Good."

"Jungk- Jung jung jungjungkook let me go." Seokjin pushed harshly one more time, managing to free himself. "Goodbye." Seokjin grabbed his bags and ran away. To get to his gate, and to get away from Jungkook's grip.

Hoseok sat in the plane, looking outside at all the clouds. His family had decided to go to Australia for the holiday, they never really liked the cold weather. He was watching Black Panther, tuning out his father that was snoring right next to him.

Taehyung ran forward to the train, quickly halting the doors from closing with his foot. Awkwardly he stood in the doorway until Hayun and Yoongi arrived with the bags and they quickly stepped in. "Just on time." Taehyung smiled, sitting down.

"We would've been too late if you didn't drop all your bags and risked your foot." Hayun remarked making Taehyung roll his eyes. "Listen... maybe flute dude might not like me right now but what's important is that we're here." Yoongi shook his head with a smile before looking out at the window. "Already missing your boyfriend?" Taehyung playfully mocked, Yoongi kicked his shin. "Shut up." Taehyung dramatically held his shin, whining in pain. Hayun tried holding his laughter in, knowing damn well that Taehyung would kick his shin if he did.

"By the way." Yoongi spoke up, catching the attention of the other two. "What are you two?"

"Humans."

"Taehyung." Taehyung looked over at Hayun who was just as unsure as he was. "We'll see." Taehyung answered, giving Hayun a polite smile. "Yeah, we will." Yoongi rolled his eyes, not satisfied by the answer but dropped the topic anyway.

Jimin yeeted himself on the chair, choosing to sit at the window. "Excited?" Namjoon laughed, casually taking a seat next to him. "I've never flown in a plane before! Oh my god I have never even left South-Korea, of course I'm excited!" Namjoon smiled, looking at Jimin's twinkling eyes while he was ranting. "We'll make sure this is a holiday you can't forget." Jimin excitedly smacked Namjoon's arm repeatedly before the flight attendants started their instructions.

Eventually they took off, Jimin stared out of the window like an excited puppy. "Wow Namjoon we're above the clouds!" Namjoon chuckled. "Yeah, we are. It's beautiful huh?"

"It looks so fluffy, I know you can't touch it but- I really want to." He turned back to Namjoon that was just staring at him. "What?" Jimin asked, unconsciously touching his face to check if there was something. "Nothing. Just like seeing you happy." Jimin slowly turned back towards the window, hoping Namjoon didn't catch him blushing.

Jungkook stood ready for the ferry to arrive. "Excited for Yeju?" His father asked, patting his back. Jungkook hummed while staring at the water. His father sighed. "Look, I know you would rather spend your vacation with Seokjin or your friends... But hey at least they're back next week. Tell you what, I'll allow you to go to a New years eve party with your friends." This had caught Jungkook's attention. "Really?"

"Yes really." Jungkook did an excited little dance, making his father laugh. "Now you better not frown or else your mom will start beating you for not having fun." Jungkook smiled, maybe this vacation wouldn't be too bad after all.
