I woke up at about three AM, to find Tucker putting his shirt and shoes on.
"Where are you going?" I said confused.
"Heard the window again, I'm gonna go check it out. Do me a favor and start acting scared. Like your alone or something. Talk back to the noise." He whispered really quiet, I had to lean closer to hear him.
"OK, I can try. But what if they bust through the window?" I whispered equally quiet, letting my fear get the best of me. What is wrong with me? I'm a fucking stripper for god's sake, I dance on a stage and climb poles and I'm acting like a scared little girl.
"No one will come through the window. I'll catch them before they have the chance. I'll lock the door on my way out. Now start talking! Keep them here!" He tip toed out of the room.
"Who's there?" I yelled. Thwack "Who are you?" Thwack. "Knock it off! Your scaring me!" I started screaming. Thwack "I'm gonna call the cops and let my dog loose." I wondered if that was working. Well duh, it must be, their still hitting my window. Thwack. Then I heard Tucker yell, "Stop right there!" a couple moments of silence and then I heard, "Come back here!" Damn it Tucker! Why didn't you just attack from behind? Use the surprise method? But hell, what did I know about fighting? I figured that I better go stand by the door since Tucker locked it before he went out. So that I could let him back in. I walked down the hall way and as I was walking past Norah's room I figured I better stop and check on her. I cracked her door open and peeked inside. She was sleeping on her toddler bed. I walked in to cover her back up. She never would keep covers on. I pushed the hair off her face and smoothed her hair back. I sat there for a while just playing with her hair. I sat there so long I forgot about Tucker. So I kissed her forehead and I walked out of her room and slowly closed the door. I walked through the living room and to the door. I pulled the curtain back so I could look for Tucker. When I didn't see him, or any sign of anyone I sat down in the nearest chair. I sat there about five minutes when there was a knock on the door. I jumped up from the chair and peeked out the curtain. It was Tucker. I unlocked the door and let him in. "What happened? Did you catch them? Who was it?" I started asking before he could even get in the door. He came in and I closed and locked the door.
"No, I didnt catch them. They ran off after I said 'Stop' I couldn't catch him, and do you remember that guy at the club?" He asked.
"Which guy Tucker! I dance for hundreds of guys a night!" I yelled, he just looked at me and waited for me to calm down. We had known each other for a little over a year, he knew me well enough to know what to do when I got angry. "Sorry, I'm just scared out of my mind. Which guy was it Tucker?" I stated calmly so that he would answer me. If I would have had even the slightest amount of annoyance in my voice he wouldn't have answered me. He would still be standing there waiting for me to calm down.
"The blond? The one who put twenty bucks in your panties and spanked your ass." He looked at me seriously.
"Oh... shit..." I sat back down on the chair, shocked that, that was the guy who was stalking me. He didn't look like he could do such a thing. He looked so nice. Why did I let him do that? I should have known that would turn out bad. I never do anything like that. I follow the rules of the club. I hadn't known why those rules where put into place, but I had followed them. I didn't want to be fired! I now knew why that was a rule. Who knew that one spanking could make a guy want to stalk you. I wondered what he wanted from me. What he would do to me. Did he want sex, or money? "What do we do now?" I looked at Tucker, I knew there was fear in my eyes, but I couldnt help it.
"I don't know. I guess we will call the police and let them know what's going on, then we will wait to see if he comes back before we decide if we need to relocate you and Norah. I know it will be hard but if we do need to leave Norah needs to go to Lena's house. You can come stay at my house. You're gonna have to leave your car here. He knows what it looks like. Do you have the money to rent one?" He had started talking so fast it was getting hard to keep up.
"I might. I'll have to check." I nodded.
"I'll call Zack and let him know what's going on, so he can warn the other girls to be cautious, let him know that this guy likes to play grab ass. That every guard needs to be extra cautious. We have to make sure no one follows them. We got a real problem on our hands." He was starting to stress and I could see it. "Could you make me some coffee Scar?" He asked pulling out his phone and hitting his number three speed dial. I walked over to the coffee pot and started making some coffee, while listening to Tucker's conversation all at the same time. I pulled out the old coffee filter and put it in the trash. I pulled the new filter out of the cupboard and placed it gently in the coffee pot. I put four teaspoons of coffee grounds in the filter. I grabbed the coffe pot and walked over to the sink and started filling it up with water.
"Zack, It's Tucker. We have a problem. Someone followed Scarlett home from the club. He's blond. The one she let spank her earlier. Warn the other girls. Warn all guards as well. I'm calling the cops right now. Thanks." He hung up and started dialing the local police station. I poured the water into the back of the coffee pot and put the pot back under the spout, and pushed the on button.
"Yeah I'm at 1287 Stanford Drive, and I'm calling to inform you of a man who's stalking my coworker. Blond, about six foot two inches, about 183 pounds. He's stalking Scarlett Aldridge. She's an exotic dancer at Havoc. He was tapping on her window, done it twice tonight. He followed her home. OK, thanks. Yeah, see you then." He hung up again. I poured him a cup of the coffee that had just finished making. "They said they'll send an officer down as soon as they have one available." He half smiled. I tried to smile but it probably came out as more of a twitch. I was holding back tears, and I didn't know how much longer I would be able to stop them. I walked over and handed him the coffee. He took it from me and pulled me into a hug. Setting his chin on the top of my head he started whispering to me.
"It's ok Scar. I wont let anything happen to you or Norah. I swear. I'll make it all go away." He closed his eyes and sighed. I tried really hard to hold the tears back but they won. They came flooding out of my eyes, and I couldn't stop them. But now that I had started crying, I didnt know if I wanted to stop. It kind of felt good to let go and stop being strong for once. I had to have stood there and cryed on Tucker's shirt for at least half an hour. I looked up at him once I started feeling better, "I'm sorry. I'm blubbering like an idiot. I feel like such a baby!" I sniffed. He reached up and wiped my tears away.
"It's ok hon. You have been holding that back for a while. It was time to let it go." He smiled at me. "Lets go sit on the couch." He pulled me by my hand. We walked to the couch and he sat down, pulling me down next to him. I layed down and put my head in his lap and started to think.
