"So are you coming to my house tonight to get ready?" I asked Madison through the phone. I heard her grunting, probably at her closet. "Yeah, I'll be there as soon as I find my costume!"

"You can't find your costume? Madison, the party is in," I looked over at the clock, "five hours. If you can't find it you're going to have to settle for whatever costume you find."

"Don't you think I know that? Besides I know it's here somewhere. I saw it just last week," I heard a thump and something that sounded like "stupid ladder", and I covered the phone so she wouldn't hear me laughing.

"Maybe your mom saw it, and she threw it out," I said after some moments of silence.

"No way! It's not even that bad," Madison grumbled. "So tell me about the date you had last night with your boyfriend."

I smiled just thinking about it, "It was awesome. He took me to his grandfather's restaurant again, except this time his grandfather was there," Madison cut me off, "What!?"

"He wasn't supposed to be there, but it went very well. His grandfather let us get whatever we wanted, and he didn't even make us pay. He told me stories about Jason from when he was little, and Jason was blushing here and there. It was really great. Then we went for a walk around the square in Andover. They had some Halloween set up in the middle of town. What scares me most is that he wants me to meet his parents."

There was a moment of silence, "You're kidding, right?"

"Nope," I popped the p and went to the bathroom to get my makeup set up. Halloween was Madison's favorite holiday, because she got to dress me up as much as she liked.

"Well, shit. It definitely can't be some game now."

"That's what I thought, too, but it still doesn't change how nervous I am."

"Is a date set?"

"Not yet. I think he knows I'm nervous. Plus if I meet his parents, that means he will have to meet my dad, which means I have to tell him. And Andy. I can't tell Andy yet."

Madison hummed, "Is lover boy coming to the party tonight?"

"It's at Aaron's, of course he will be there."

"True, I forgot about that. Are you going to sing tonight?" Madison asked. I could still hear her moving around, if she didn't find the costume, mine, Ricky, Andy's costumes would all be ruined.

"Aaron texted Andy earlier to ask me. I told him I would whenever he wanted me."

"Awesome! And whenever you want to dance with Jason, I will gladly cover, again."

"You're the best you know that, right?"

"I found it! And yes, I do know that. Anyone would love to have a friend like me. I will see you in fifteen minutes. Is Ricky there yet?"

"He's been here. He stayed over last night."

"Great! I'll be there in a little bit!" We hung up the phone and I went down the hall to knock on Andy's door. "Come in!" Andy called out and I opened the door up.

Ricky and Andy were playing video games, when I cleared my voice they made no move that showed me they heard me. "You guys have your costumes ready, right?"

"Of course!" Ricky replied, "No way am I going to let Mads go mad that we didn't have it," I laughed and nodded.

"What time are we leaving?"

"Is six good for you?"

"Perfect. Madison is almost here, so don't disturb her unless you know whats good for you." I closed the door on my way out and went to wait downstairs for Madison.
