Freyer POV
What did I just get myself into? I sighed when I remembered how Yang had pleaded for me to play at the dance, and proceed to smile when I remembered how happy she looked when I agreed. I got up and grabbed my scroll and wallet and went to leave my room. If I was going to perform at the dance I would need to dress a little bit better than my usual. When I was walking out to the bullheads to Vale I accidentally bumped into someone causing us to both fall over. I then looked up and furrowed my brow at the green haired girl if I recall she was a teammate of a man named Mercury Black. The only reason I remember him is because he fought against Pyrrha and while his moves seemed amateurish at first glance if you took a moment to look at his expressions and his eyes he was clearly holding back a great deal to get a grip on his opponent's strength. "Oh I am so sorry about that I wasn't looking where I was going." She said getting up and offering me a hand. I accepted and got up brushing myself off. "It's fine. Anyway I have places to be." I said while beginning to walk away. "Oh by the way." I said to her, stopping. "Hm, Something wrong?" She asked. "Yeah" I said. "Just between street rats. I'm not a huge fan of pickpockets." I pulled her wallet out of my pocket and heard her panic behind me. I turned around and looked at her as she checked her pockets. "I'll trade you, mine for yours." She glared at me before tossing my wallet back to me. I caught it and said, "Cute trick, now give me everything you just took out of my wallet." She growled in annoyance and I caught a handful of cards and after checking them to make sure I had everything I tossed her wallet back to her and continued on my way to Vale.
Yang POV
The night of the dance I was extremely excited. Not only was I going to hear Frey play again but I also managed to drag him into the dance along with Blake. It was my job to greet everyone at the door until a certain time. That time being 7:00 at that point a teacher would take over and I could go enjoy the night with everybody else. When Ruby first walked in I was honestly surprised at how she looked. "Oh, you look beautiful." I said jumping up and down. "Ugh" Ruby replied. "Can we have a serious talk about how Weiss fights in these." I laughed at Ruby's lack of confidence in her shoes and her general unbalance. Then Blake walked in with Sun and I had somebody take over for a moment while I gave Blake my promised dance and soon enough it was seven and I meet up with the others to watch Blake along with everybody else enjoy themselves. "I told you she would come." I spoke to Ruby and Weiss. "Mission accomplished." The latter said. "So what do we do now?" The ever socially awkward Ruby asked. I said "Just have fun." Waving as I walked away. Before I knew it time had flown and it was almost 8:30 when Weiss came up to me. "Yang you said you had this next block filled but you never told me who and i'm not seeing anyone backstage are you sure they're coming?" I looked out over the crowd and saw a tuft of ,for once, well groomed purple hair. I smiled and looked back to Weiss. "Don't worry ice queen. He's already here and you're in for a real treat tonight." She looked at me curiously before I heard Frey's classic tuning piece play on stage which he was using to get everyone's attention. Instead of wearing his standard clothes it looked like he had gone into Vale to get a nicer set. He wore a red vest with black floral designs, a plain white collared shirt, grey slacks with black dress shoes. His normally messy medium length purple hair was styled back and he was breathtakingly handsome. "Freyer?" Weiss asked. "Knowing where he's from I seriously doubt that he can play. Is he really the one you had fill the slot Yang?" I smiled at her and replied confidently. "Just watch and listen Weiss." Frey gave his classic showman's bow and raised the bow to the strings. After his typical single long note the instrument sung as Frey played the violin and once again just like at Justin's every ear was quickly entranced by his playing. Soon enough all dancing had stopped just to listen to him play. I looked over to Weiss "See I told you everything would be okay." It didn't even seem like she had heard me as her eyes were glued to Frey and his playing. His half hour of playing ended far too quickly for me, and it seemed that the audience agreed with me cheering loudly for an encore soon enough Frey walked back on stage shaking his head this time he had a microphone with him so he could actually speak. "Alright everybody are you enjoying your night?" The crowd erupted and he chuckled. "Alright." He spoke as everybody quieted down. "I only have one more song that I can play for an encore for you all but it's going to be a little different from what you just heard alright?" The crowd cheered in approval and Frey raised his bow to the strings one more time. The violin sung once more playing a cover of Ruby's favorite song 'Red Like Roses' as the crowd went dead silent to ensure they didn't miss a single note." When the song was over he gave his last showman's bow and left the stage to the cheering crowd. Eventually the crowd died down and started doing their own thing again with Frey walking over to me and Ruby who had moved to the balcony. "You know. I think we really needed this. And you were amazing once again Frey." Ruby looked over to him. "Yea I had no Idea you could play the violin. Also you did a really good job planning this whole thing Yang." I wrapped my arm around her neck and hugged her. "Aw, thanks. It wasn't all me though, Weiss did a lot too." "And that is what had me worried. I was half expecting doilies and fog machines with disco balls and slow dance music." Frey chuckled as I rubbed the back of my head. "That's, exactly what you had planned at first, isn't it." He managed to catch on to my nervousness and we all shared a chuckle. With a look out over the crowd we saw Neptune approaching Weiss and striking up a conversation. "Well tomorrow it's back to work." I said. Ruby replied enthusiastically "Well i'm sure we can handle whatever gets thrown at us." As laughter erupted from below as we all looked down to see what was going on. "Except for that." Ruby quickly tacked on at the sight of Jaune Arc in a white strapless dress with a blue ribbon tied in a bow at his waist. After a short conversation Jaune and Pyrrha along with the rest of team JNPR took center stage the party exploded and I looked over to Frey as he looked at me. He chuckled and held his hand out to me. "Well since i'm already here and the party isn't a total trainwreck, it would be a shame to waste the night. Would you like to dance, my lady?" I smiled at him. "I would love to." I responded as I took his hand as he led me to the dance floor.
Freyer POV
After dancing for a while Yang and I stepped outside for a quick breath of fresh air. Yang sighed as she leaned her forearms on the railing. "I'm really glad that you came, Frey and not just to play. I'm really glad you're here in general." I furrowed my brow. "Yang." I began but she cut me off by shaking her head. She took a step towards me and wrapped her arms around my neck. As she did I wrapped my arms around her waist and we started swaying to the soft beat of the music that could still be heard even from outside. "Frey." Yang said after a moment. "You remember that I said that I would give you a reward for playing tonight?" I nodded my head slowly. "Well, I can give it to you now if you close your eyes. I nodded and closed my eyes. After just a moment I felt a soft sensation on my lips and my eyes darted open to confirm what I had suspected. Yang stood there kissing me. Before I could recover she pulled away blushing. "Just so you know that was my first kiss." She said looking down and taking a step away from me. After finally getting over my shock I smiled at her. I placed a finger under her chin and lifted her head with it. "In that case." I said. "Allow me to steal your second as well." I said right before I locked my lips with her again. She was stunned at first but eventually wrapped her arms around my neck again and kissed me back. My arms wrapped around her as I pulled her close. We stood there until we heard the click of a camera and we broke the kiss turning our heads to see Ruby with her scroll out. "Oh, dad is going to love this!" "Ruby!" Yang cried out just before Ruby activated her semblance and burst into rose petals flying away from us. Yang sighed and shook her head before resting it on my chest. "You gonna go after her?" I asked. She shook her head. "I don't really care if my family knows. I just want to be here with you." I smiled down at her and stroked her hair. "You know, if you were anyone else I would have broken your arm for doing that." I gave out a light chuckle. "I guess it's my special privilege then." She looked up smiling at me. "Yep." She said before locking lips with me again.
The next day I was called to Prof. Ozpin's office after his speech about peace and the four kingdoms. When I got there Ozpin was accompanied by General Ironwood and Prof. Goodwitch. "So Professor. How can I be of assistance." I said reading the atmosphere of the room and getting right to the point. "Thank you for coming Mr. Drakkon. Before we continue I feel I must say that your performance last night was simply spectacular." I nodded and gave my showman's bow. "It was my pleasure Professor." "Now to the topic at hand. Do you have any information about the topic we discussed previously?" I nodded and pulled out my scroll. Placing it on his desk brought up everything that I had shown team RWBY. I proceeded to tell him everything I told them. The general hummed when I brought up the image of the massive covered thing. "I don't know of any projects that have been green lit that have been trying to make something like that. The dust requirements and complicated schematics would make the machine too inefficient." I shot back. "What about non green lit projects. For all we know one of your disgraced scientists could be assisting the white fang and they gave him the resources to build whatever it was that you shot down." He nodded. "I'll have some people begin to look into it." I nodded and looked back to Ozpin. "Alright Professor. I've held up my end of the deal. You got any information about my parents?" He pulled up a file. "We ran your emblem through the system and unfortunately came up with no hits or similar emblems. Whoever your parents happen to be. They are very good at covering their tracks." I sighed. "Yea if they were easy to find I would have found them years ago." I shook my head. "Thanks for looking though. I'll be heading out now. I need to pick a mission before they're all gone." "Actually there is one more thing Mr. Drakkon." I looked back at him. "I have decided to bend a few rules and allowed a first year team to take a mission better suited for a second or third year team." I furrowed my brow at him before he continued. "I was wondering if I could send you to accompany them on their mission to mountain glenn they head out today just so you know." I sighed. "It's team RWBY isn't it." He smiled and nodded. I shook my head. "Sign me up, i'll go get my gear." He smiled and tapped his scroll a few times as I stepped into the elevator and rushed over to my room to get ready for a long trip.
