A Cloak and A Owl (11)

I was not going back to Privat Drive I refused to, Hermione was going back to her parents place, I sat with Harry and Ron while they played Chess I read Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them I was working on the Thunderbird. "I want you guys to search for Nicholas Flamel in the Library while I am gone" Hermione said and I groaned and looked at her "'Mione I don't wanna" I complained and I heard laughter I looked over and saw Pansy she had her trunk packed "what's wrong Lupin? Got nowhere to go for Christmas?" I looked down tears pricked my eyes "Parkinson 10 points from Slytherin" Mcgonagall snapped as she walked up and Pansy spun on her heel and wheeled away quickly, "Mrs. Lupin since all the students in your Common room are going home do you wish to spend it with friends of a different house?" The woman asked and I looked at her before nodding firmly. "Yes... Please..." I said and hugged her "thank you" I said and she nodded walking away to talk to the headmaster I sat down and rested my head on my arms, my eyes closed and my 'gaze' facing down in a depressed state, "Sammy you alright?" Harry asked and I shrugged "Harry... I am not even related to you... and I was plopped down at the Dursleys and I don't even know anything of my family..." I said looking at Harry my eyes watering Harry sighed and patted my back sadly, "I am sorry" he said and he smiled sadly "if it makes you feel any better I consider you a sister" he said and I smiled at him again "thanks Harry" I said and sat up, "I need to go make sure I have stuff cleaned in my dorm..." I said and stood I turned and ran smack into someone, I squeaked and fell back I looked up and my eyes narrowed it was Draco and I stood. "What do you want Malfoy..." I said sternly looking up at him as I still was on the ground rubbing my back, "I uh... I... Uh... Came to say Merry Christmas..." He said and turned and left, after sending Harry a dirty look, my brows went up on shock and I turned to Harry "I swear he is bipolar..." I said Harry nodded amused as I walked to my Common Room.

I got to the Griffindor Common Room and asked for Harry he helped me inside and I sat in one of the red plush chairs and sighed, it was Christmas decorated and had a fire in the fireplace, the Common Room wasn't galaxy or astrology oriented like Ravenclaw's I looked around at the Red, Orange, and Yellow theme. "Wow..." I said and stood "where... Can I sleep?" I asked and Harry smiled "Hermione said you can sleep in her bed..." Harry said and I nodded "Thanks guys... This means a lot that you are letting me spend Christmas with you guys..." I said smiling warmly and they smiled and nodded as they went to their dorm, I entered the girls dorm and looked around shocked and immediately knew which one was Hermione's was with all the books around it. I curled up and closed my eyes letting sleep take me.

I awoke to Ash meowing at me and my brow furrowed and I yawned stretching and noticed that the sky was starting to turn a light blue, I jumped out of bed and went to the main room and heard footsteps I looked up and noticed Harry and Ron "Merry Christmas!" I said happily I didn't have my mask and I was smiling, they looked at me stunned when my mask wasn't on they had never seen me smile and I sat down sorting through the gifts. "Oh great... My mum made us all jumpers..." Ron said defeated "and fudge" he finished and smiled handing me two gifts one was lumpy but still neatly wrapped, I unwrapped it nicely and looked at the deep blue jumper with the silver 'S' on it and I smiled "I love it" I said happily and Ron looked at me stunned. 

Harry got an invisibility cloak from someone and I got a wolf charm bracelet and a bunch of sweets, "Sam... There is one more for you..." Harry said and passed me the plain grey wrapped gift my eyes narrowed uneasily, I checked for who sent it "it doesn't say who sent it..." I said biting my lip and looking over it again. I opened  it and my eyes widened it was a snake necklace in a figure eight my brows furrowed together and I looked at Harry, I noticed a slip of paper and my eyes narrowed.

'Hey... It's me... You can call me... A friend... I guess... We can send letters back and forth and talk... Well a Pen Pal of sorts... I will send an Owl to your room tonight... So the Owl knows who it is sending to' 

It was written in silver ink and my brows went up in confusion, I sighed and slipped the note back into the box, "Harry... Can you help me put it on?" I asked looking at him and he nodded helping me put it on. I smiled down at the serpent necklace. "Someone must know I like snakes..." I said faintly amused as I looked at the two "I am going to go back to my Common Room... See you at Breakfast" I said smiling happily and the boys nodded warmly.

I walked back to the Ravenclaw Common Room "what comes first the phoenix or the flame" the knocker asks and I hum and smile "a circle has no beginning" I said and it let me in, I smiled and went up to my dorms, I entered and jumped back a silver screech owl hooted at me while Ash looked at it perplexed and I got closer seeing another letter. "Hey big guy..." I said and the owl put out its leg "wow... Thanks..." I said and put the letter in my bedside drawer, "I won't read it right now... But I will I promise" I said to the owl and it chirped at me I looked at it "I will get you some bacon how does that sound?" I asked and it chirped again. 

I met the boys down at Breakfast and sat down next to them wearing insulated leggings (pretend they exist then... I suck at outfits alright?) a dark blue tank top and a golden yellow oversized hoodie "hey you two" I said my mask wasn't on this time and I smiled at them, people looked at me but there were very few and they remained to themselves. I sat down and grabbed fruit and bacon putting some to the side and Harry looked at me confused and I smiled "Owl in my room wants bacon" I said and he nodded in understanding, I ate my fruit and stood "Harry don't forget to get some research done... And remember... Take that cloak of yours..." I whispered the last part to him and he nodded.
