Kyle's POV
Running. Lots of running.
My muscles screamed in protest as I kept pushing myself forward. My body was definitely not made to handle this type of long term physical workout. Wow. When they told me to at least attend one workout a month, I really should have listened.
Congrats Danny, you were right.
There was no time to think about the burning sensation in my chest however due to the fact that we were being chased by a burly man dressed in black, otherwise known as our security guard.
"Ah geez," Tess exclaimed, her sprinting form not too far in front of me. Her light hair flying behind her as we ran through the halls. "Why do we do this? Why couldn't we have just gone to the freaking press conference?"
The press conference that we were supposed to be at as of now was for an upcoming world tour that we were scheduled to embark on. If I was actually paying attention to the meeting, I think we were supposed to be touring with another group on our label, Syco Records.
Yeah that's right. We were the newest young recording artists for the one and only: Simon Cowell.
I mean, he already had Little Mix and Fifth Harmony. Not to mention One Direction, the biggest music act on the fucking planet. Which made me question what he wanted with four, average, teenage girls.
Apparently, none of that seemed to matter to Simon. He just said that he had big plans for us.
And that was it really, the beginning of one kick ass journey.
I can't believe it has been a little over a year since Simon signed us. He was such a cool man. I mean really, I have absolutely no idea why I (and the rest of the world) found him so intimidating. Honestly, he was like our pseudo uncle. Just one huge sweetheart.
"To be completely honest I just find it absolutely hilarious to mess around with Matt." I wheezed.
Basically: everyone hates Matt. Starting with us and leading through our team all the way down to Collin, our other security guard. I never really liked Matt since the first day he became part of our security personnel, anyways. We just had this 'special' relationship I guess.
Ha, no.
"Girls!" As if on que, Matt bellowed from behind us, his accent thicker thanks to how angry we've made him. I could clearly hear the prominent pounding of his footsteps and was quickly able to convert it into a distance, and he sound like he was right behind us.
Maddie let out a loud cackle of laughter.
Shit, shit, shit, shit, We were going to die!
Plus my feet are killing me.
My sandal wedges were great for walking but not really the best choice for running. In fact my entire outfit, not so great for this kind of exercise. With my baby blue flare dress and my little black hair bow I wasn't exactly screaming 'ready to run a marathon'.
Brielle who was just a few steps in front of me looked over her shoulder and I noticed her crystal blue eyes widen in fear, confirming my previous thought of the distance at which Matt was from us.
"Uh guys," she choked out frantically.
As Tess and Maddie turned their heads I turned mine as well. My eyes nearly popped out of my head as I felt them widen just as much as Elle's had.
Just maybe fifteen yards behind us was Matt and boy he looked pissed.
"I think it's time we split the fuck up!" Maddie shouted towards the girls and I, adding to the noise we were already making. Matt's footsteps grew louder as he got closer.
