Chapter: F I F T E E N
“Believe it or not but I can have Shayne if I wanted him,” –Tavi
“Hello?” I picked up my phone while parking in front of Shayne’s place. The other end of the phone was a little fuzzy sounding and I couldn’t hear anyone. I pulled the phone away from my face to check the caller ID to see that it was a blocked number. “Hello?” I asked again, making sure they heard me the first time. “Fine then don’t say anything,”
I hung up the phone and got out quickly with Addison so that we wouldn’t get drenched with the rain. Shayne immediately opened the door letting us in.
“Hey daddy!” Addison exclaimed jumping into his arms.
“Wassup,” Shayne smiled at her.
“Daddy today my mommy is moving, but she said that I have to stay wit’ you,” Addison told him.
He placed her back down on her feet and nodded, “Yeah, you think you can stay wit’ me for awhile?”
“Yeah, as long as you be quiet when you sleep,” She rolled her eyes.
Shayne chuckled and sent her away so that we could talk. “So, you moving today? Where?”
“My mom was at the house this morning when I left and found me a place downtown, so I figured why not leave today…” I sighed.
I wasn’t about to waste anytime moving out of Rashad’s house. The more I stay there the more I think about him and the more stress is on my shoulders. The only problem is that the condo building is a whole 30 to 45 minutes away from Shayne’s place, and I don’t have the time, gas, or the money to keep driving Addison back and forth which is why she’ll stay with him. I’ll stop by every so often to see her and she’ll stay with me from time to time. But this living situation is only temporary.
Shayne nodded while tucking his hands into his pocket, “You left early as hell this morning,”
“And you came in pretty late last night,” I remarked while smiling, “Kinda left me in a sticky situation,”
“My bad,” Shayne licked his lips, “I owe it to you,”
“That you do,” I laughed, “But I really need to get back to the house and pack more things… I’ll stop by tonight and I guess chill with Addison before I get back to the house,”
He nodded and walked me to my car making sure I got in safe. I pulled off and headed to the house to see the truck that’ll be moving furniture sitting outside the mansion. Although they told me I had to leave, they didn’t tell me that I couldn’t take what belonged to me. And believe it or not, I decorated this house myself, from top to bottom, and I was gonna take any and every thing I wanted.
