Chapter: T W O

“What are you going to do to me that you haven’t already done?” –Tavi

Atlanta, Georgia | 11:43 a.m. |

“Rashad Allen and his ‘girlfriend’ were photographed getting off a flight that took them back to his home town Atlanta Georgia yesterday night,” The TMZ reporter on the television spoke to his other workers, “What I don’t get is why he doesn’t claim her in the public eye, and if he does want to keep her a secret why not get on his private jet to keep people from seeing”

All the other reporters in the room laughed and shook their heads. I watched as the black girl started to talk, “But apparently this girl has a child and he wants to keep them protected, so I really understand why he’s doing what he’s doing”

I grabbed the remote that was sitting on the kitchen counter and turned the TV off that sat on the wall in the kitchen. I placed it down and went over to the stove and finished up the brunch that I was preparing for Addison and myself.

“Addison, come and eat,” I yelled.

A few seconds later she appeared in the kitchen and took a seat on a stool. I plated her food and sat it in front of her so that she could eat.

“Hurry up and eat please,” I instructed, “Grandma really wants to see you today”

She nodded her head and then I sat down across from her and started eating as well. In the mist of eating I heard my phone buzzing near the stove so I got up and grabbed it to see Sandra calling.

        “Hello,” I answered.

“So you’re back in town and didn’t mind telling me,” She asked with amusement in her voice.

“Well my mom really wanted to see us today so I was thinking that I would call you tomorrow to set something up,” I replied sitting back down on my stool, “But if I do get time today, I’ll let you know and we can set something up for later on”

“Good, I really wanna see my baby Addison,” She cooed into the phone, “But I’ll be at Chris’s house, maybe you should stop by. I know everyone wants to see you”

“I’ll see what I can do,” I responded as I watched Addison finish up her food, “But I have to get ready”

“Alright talk to you later,” She said into the phone before hanging up.

I put my phone back down on the counter, “Go upstairs and start the shower, I’ll be up there in a minute,” I told Addison and then she disappeared out of the kitchen.

I quickly stuffed the rest of my food into my mouth and cleaned up our dishes and any other messes I made. Once I was finished I jogged up the steps and walked into the master bedroom and heared the shower running and Addison singing her favorite song.

I grabbed my clothes out for the day and went and got Addison something to wear. After I washed her up and hopped into the shower myself I got dressed and walked into Addison’s room to see her still sitting on her bed shivering with her towel wrapped around her.

“Addison!” I called out causing her to jump, “Why are you not dressed?”

“Beca-cause I’m c-cold,” She shivered with her every word.

“Get dressed,” I demanded, “When I come back in here you better be ready”

I closed her door and walked back to the master bedroom and put on a ton load of make-up to cover my bruises and even the new bruise I got from the plane ride. I was still a little mad and when Rashad left early this morning he and I didn’t exchange any words. I honestly don’t wanna be in his presence right now.
