Chapter 2

Luz's POV:

The bell rang and I slowly picked my stuff up, I didn't want to be pushed while trying to get through the door so I waited until everyone left. My eyes were wondering the room just waiting, then I saw Amity. Damn I swear she gets prettier everyday, wait no don't think that Luz, god I'm so gay. I mean yeah we haven't talked in like 2 years but I never got over her, I mean how could I? The way she walks, the way her beautiful golden eyes shine in the sunlight, the way she reads to kids after school at the library. "Luz are you ok?" I look over to see a concerned look on my teachers face. "Oh, I'm ok Miss, I just got a little lost in my thoughts." I laughed nervously while grabbing my books and walking backwards I sent her finger guns and quickly spin around, waking out of the room.

I ran up to my locker and quickly shoved my stuff in it, grabbing my other requirements for my next class. I looked around and spotted Willow and Gus, I quietly ran up from behind them and placed my hands on their shoulders, they both jumped and turned around nearly falling. "Luz don't do that!" Willow playfully yelled, Gus let out a nervous chuckle "Y-you didn't scare me." I turned and looked at Gus with a smirk on my face, "Sure I didn't" I laughed and then we started walking down the hallway. Eventually splitting up when I got closer to my next class. I darted past everyone attempting to get to class before the bell rang. I finally reached the room and walked inside.

As I went to go sit down, my chair was pulled out from underneath me causing me to fall to the ground, hitting my head off the floor. I sat up and rubbed the back of my head, I looked up to see Boscha's friend, "What do you want now?" I looked up at her and I felt a growl rise, I pushed it down and tried to stay calm. "So human, what's going between you and Little Miss Perfect" she smirked as she pointed towards someone, Amity? What does she mean by that?

"What do you mean?, nothings going on between us, we don't even speak to each other." I stood up, whipping the none existing dirt off of my uniform. Her expression turned to anger, grabbing me by the collar she threw a quick punch. I stumbled back shocked, "I'm going to get answers out of you one way or the other" she growled, she grabbed me by the shirt and dragged me into the hallway. I looked around hoping there's someone around here to help me but the halls were empty.

I glared at her, "Why are you doing this" I growled, my hands hands forming into a ball and my nails digging into my palm. She slammed me against a locker causing me to loose the air from my chest, collapsing to the floor. "Pathetic" she hissed, grabbing me by my Collar and and lifting her other hand up, she made a circle with her finger and a blue flame appeared in her hand. My eyes widen and i try to move but she pushed me against the locker again, locking me in place. She swung at me, flame still in hand. The fire hitting my face. I wince, picking my head up and glaring at her.

"Is that all you can do" I smirked, she growled and knees me in the stomach. I fell to the ground for the second time, I tried to get up but she kicked me in the rib cage, hard. Tears started rolling down my face as I grabbed my side. She grabbed me by the shirt again forcing me up. "I thought you'd put up more of a fight, or maybe it's because your just useless" she grins as she goes in for another punch to my stomach, I squeezed my eyes shut waiting for the impact.

A few seconds go by and still nothing, I opened my eyes slowly and saw her knocked out in front of me. I looked up and saw Amity, her eyes full of anger. I smiled "H-hey Amity" I struggle to make the words, my side hurts so bad and I felt like passing out, Amity looked at me concern quickly replacing the anger that used to be in her eyes, "Luz? Are you ok?" Amity walks up to me and cups my cheek checking me over. "Yeah yeah, I'm fine" actually I wasn't fine, my side hurt like hell but I didn't want her to worry right, my vision went blurry and I felt light headed, I collapsed into her arms before completely slipping into unconsciousness.

I felt someone's arms around me, slowly opening my eyes a saw Amity, asleep holding on to me. My face turns a deep red, my heart pounding out of my chest. I take a moment to look around realizing we were in my room, "Oh you're awake, I'm glad your ok kid" I turn my head to see Eda leaning against my door frame. "Yeah I'm ok, what happened exactly?" Eda walks over to my bed and sits down, "Well, I was taking a nap until I heard a knock at the door, I opened it to see Amity holding you in her arms" I look over at Amity, she moves and my body freezes, she snuggled her face into my neck letting out a sigh. My face went red again, "Amity refused to leave your side, I told her you'll be ok but she wouldn't budge" I look up at Eda with a confused look, she only shrugged and then headed out my room, she turned to me and waved before walking out.

My eyes started getting heavy, I wrapped my arms around Amity just admiring her beauty, her hair fell in front of her face. Slowly moving my arm, so I wouldn't wake the beautiful girl next to me I tucked the loose hairs behind her ear, I heard her mumble something into my neck "Luz.." her grip tightened around me and I felt tears falling onto my neck. I pulled her closer, whispering that it was ok. She seemed to calm down after a bit but her grip on me was still tight, I wrapped my arms around her and closed my eyes, I laid there for a few minutes just thinking before I let sleep take over my body.
