Chapter 3

Amity's POV:

I opened my eyes to see Luz's neck, she had her arms around my back as mine were around her waist, I was half on top of her. My face goes red as I realized that we were cuddling, I jumped and fell off her bed with a thud. "Amity? Are you ok?" I nervously laugh and stand up "Yeah I'm ok just got a little startled." What time was it?, I drew a circle and summoned my scroll, checking the time I realize it was 7 in the morning. Crap I'm going to be late, my father will kill me if I'm late. I quickly started to pull my stuff together.

"Where are you going?" Luz looked at me, confusion plastered all over her face, "I have to get to school" she stood up and grabbed her bag, "Ok then let's go" she gave me a smile and gently grabbed my wrist, pulling me down the stairs, she waved goodbye to Eda and King before walking outside. "Sooo" Luz started, "Why did you stay with me yesterday?" I looked away from Luz, trying to think of an answer, I turned to look at her, "I don't know, I didn't do it because I like you, so don't think to hard" I looked away again, trying to hide the small smile growing on my face. We continued walking in silence, I kinda missed her voice but I didn't want to say something stupid so I kept quiet.

"Are you going to go back to hating me after this" I looked at Luz shocked by her question, what does she mean back to hating her I don't hate her. "What do you mean Luz? I've never hated you" Luz just looked down at the ground as a tear formed in her eye, she mumbled something under breath, "What?" I questioned,  I started getting a weird feeling in my chest. Luz looks up at me, her eyes were mixed with pain and anger, "Then why'd you leave me Amity!" Her voice got a little louder, I didn't notice we stopped walking until now. "Luz it's complicated" I look away ashamed of my actions.

"2 years Amity, I've been hurting for 2 years, because of you, I don't care if you hate me." Luz stopped for a minute, I was about to say something but she cut me off before I had the chance, "I don't care...just don't pretend you don't.." tears were streaming down Luz's face, I didn't know what to say I just stood there, finally I was able to make something out. "Luz I'm not pretending, I don't hate you, I want to tell you why I left but I can't, at least not right now. Please if you just let me explain I-" Luz cut me off again, her hands were formed into fists and blood was dripping from her palm, "No, I'm sick and tired of you putting it off, either you tell me or I walk away right now." Luz's voice was filled with anger.

"I-I'm sorry..I can't" I look down at the ground, tears forming in my eyes. "Then I guess it's goodbye, Amity" Luz's words were cold and it hurt, I looked up and our eyes met, her eyes were filled with nothing but sadness. "Luz...please don't go" I begged for her to stay, I know it's stupid of me but I don't want to lose her again. She looked at me one more time before walking away, heading towards the bus I watched as she started talking to Willow and Gus. I started crying, tears rolling down my face it just got worse by the second. I pulled my hood up and walked over to the bus stop, it took a few minutes for the bus to arrive and once it did I quickly sat down at my normal seat, looking out the window and dazing off to sleep.

I woke up to the bus driver tapping my shoulder, I looked around to see everyone has left the bus. I stood up and started into school, I avoided everyone, just trying to make my way to my locker. I don't have classes with Luz today so thank god for that, after our fight I doubt she will ever want to talk to me again. I put my stuff away and grabbed my supplies for my class and headed towards my class. I walked into the room and sat down at a seat, I could hear the kids behind me gossiping. "Did you hear Justin and Amy got back together?" I heard one kid say and the others just responded with a "wait really?" I ignored them and looked at my desk. "Human can't even fight her own battles" I leaned back so I could hear the conversation better, I know he said something about Luz, "I know right, Amity's always coming to her rescue"

I silently growl, but I kept on listening in on the conversation. "What a waste of space, humans don't belong here" something inside me snapped, I got up and stomped over to them, I slapped one of them hard across the face, "stop talking about Luz before you regret it" I growled. "What are you gonna do about it" he smirked and ran his hand through his hair. "You don't wanna find out" I hissed, anger starting to boil up, "but I do, let's talk this out at lunch" he laughed and cracked his knuckles. "Gladly" a smirk rising on my face, I shoot him one more glare before heading back to my seat, I heard him and his friends laughing but I decided to ignore it.

Before I knew it class ended and I was already in my next class, lunch is next so that should be interesting. I look at the time, anxiously waiting for class to end. I looked out the window and tried to calm myself, it worked pretty well, I looked at the clock again, 1 more minute. The bell rang and I rushed outside quickly running to my locker, putting my stuff away and darting to the cafeteria, once I reached it my eyes darted around the room trying to find the guy from my first class, there he is. I started walking towards him, fists slowly forming, I walked up to him. "Let's talk" I glared at him, he looked me in the eyes, he cracked his knuckles like he did earlier. Then he swung, I dodged it and quickly punched him in the face, people started gathering around us but I didn't care. He talked shit about her now he's going to pay.
