Chapter 5

Willows POV:

I watched Luz leave then I looked back up at Boscha, "look I know it wouldn't mean much coming from me, but I'm truly sorry for bullying you and your friends" I look Boscha in her eyes, she seemed like she meant it. Then a thought crossed my mind, it's kinda bold but you won't get anywhere if you don't take a step right? "Hmmm, you can make it up to me by, idk maybe lunch" my heart was probably beating so fast you could hear it, she smirked and stuck out her hand "Deal" I took her hand and we shook on it, then we started laughing. "Can I walk you to your next class" Boscha looked away and I swear she had a small blush on her face. "S-sure" I laughed nervously and then gestured her to follow me.

We walked side by side it was quiet but I didn't mind, "you think they'll forgive me too?, maybe Amity will be my friend again" I smile at her and give her a reassuring nod, she smiles. Omg that's...shes so cute. We eventually got to my classroom, she gave me a wave goodbye and headed off in her own direction. I entered seeing Luz already in her seat, I sat down and took notes of the examples our teacher was giving. Some time around 2 Luz raised her hand and then left the room, I brought my attention back to the teacher and started to doodle, I ended up drawing Boscha. My face went red a little and I closed my notebook, I looked over to see that Luz still wasn't back yet.

Where could she be? It's about 2:30 now and she's still not back, I started to get worried but I just reassured myself it was ok. The bell went off and I went to my locker to get my stuff, I walked to Luz's locker and opened it, she gave me her locker combination just in case something happened. I was thinking maybe she just left school earlier, but her stuff was still in her locker. I had a bad feeling in my chest and I thought that she might still be in the bathroom, so placing my stuff back in my locker I headed towards the bathroom.

I opened the door and looked around, no one was there I was about to leave when I heard a grunt. I looked down to see an unconscious beaten up Luz on the ground, I gasp and drop to the ground picking Luz up. I ran out of the bathroom looking around, trying to find a teacher, or Gus, or even Amity for God's sake. Then I bumped into someone, I looked up "Boscha, please help" I was starting to cry, "what do you mean what's wrong, wait Luz?!" Her eyes were full of concern, then she looked down at who was passed out in my arms. She motioned me to follow her and I did.

We arrived at the principals office and rushed in, "what is with all this commotion, oh my what happened??" Mr. Bump quickly walked over to us, "I don't know, I-I just found her like this in the bathroom" Mr. Bump nodded and then walked over to the phone calling someone. A few moments went by before Eda slammed the door open "Where's my- I mean the kid" I turned to her and placed Luz in her arms. "I'm taking her to the owl house, drop by later if you want" she quickly started walking out of the room, Luz in her arms. "Wait! I wanna come with you" I yelled before she could leave, "me too" I look over at Boscha and then back at Eda. "Alright lets go" we both smiled and ran out with Eda.

The owl house wasn't to far from Hex side, so Luz taking the bus confuses me but whatever. We were walking down the path to the owl house, "I hope she's gonna be alright, I'm gonna kill whoever did this to her" I quietly growled. I could feel my eyes start to water again, Boscha noticed and took my hand in hers. My face went red and I looked off to the side hoping she didn't see the blush on my face. "She'll be ok, and whoever did this...I'll help hide there body" she nudged me and smiled causing me to giggle.

We arrived at the owl house and Eda slammed the door open, it startled me and I jumped a little. "Luz?! Eda what happened, who did this? Oh I'm gonna find who ever did this and-" Eda cut off the little angry demon before he could finish his sentence. "One, idk. Two, idk. And three, will you shut up and go get me the first aid kit" King nodded and scurried off to get the first aid kit. Eda lifted Luz's shirt, exposing her stomach and the large bruised burn mark on it, there were multiple bruises and small cuts on her rib cage, the cuts weren't caused from a knife more like when your skin splits open after being punched or punching someone.

Eda started using healing spells on Luz but it only helped a little, the burn mark was still there and she was still bruised everywhere. King came back with the first aid kit and Eda grabbed it from him. Pulling out bandages, she wrapped them around Luz's stomach and rib cage. She pulled Luz's shirt back down and pulled out band-aids. Luz had a cut on her nose, cheek and lip. Eda placed a band-aid over each spot. "That should be good, I'm gonna carry her up to her room and let her sleep" me and Boscha both nodded as Eda picked Luz up and brought her upstairs.

A few moments passed and Eda came back down, "you can leave now, she'll be ok" I nod and grabbed Boscha's hand pulling her outside and then closing the door. "You mind walking me home?" I looked up at Boscha and she nodded with a smile. I realized our faces started getting closer together, there was a small gap left and we both closed our eyes, "Hey guys!! What are you doing? Hoot hoot" we both stumbled backwards forgetting Hooty was right there. I started backing up slowly, N Boscha's hand still in mine. "Quick lets go" I turned around and darted down the path, Boscha not so far behind me. We ran all the way to my house, gasping for air at the door. "Damn you can run fast" I smirked at what she said and nudged her, "Yeah even faster than the caption of the Grudgby team" she playfully shoved me and smiled, "oh shut up" I walk inside looking at Boscha one more time before entering my house and closing the door behind me.
