Chapter 9 Forest Route

We are settled in the forest, currenly.

Our vehicle has almost ran out of gas so we said we better camp in the forests for the night and get going tomorrow.

Terry puts on the fire in the middle and everyone sat around it.

We ate canned food which I brought from our condo.

It was too quiet until roamers growl. It wasn't much...just about 2 or 3. Greyson and I went to take care of it, leaving André with Aysa.

We didn't really expect to see 6 roamers that night, so we both agree we take out 3 roamers each.

I put my sword above my head and cut off the thing's head cleanly. I rolled on and stabbed it and pulled it out and cut off the head of another with my right hand. I stepped on the head and its blood splattered.

Greyson was finished and I saw that he took out all 3 with a knife.

"Hot skills you got, Michonne." commented Greyson.

I didn't say a word but smile at the man.

We walked back to the camp to hear a singing voice. It was a female which means it's Aysa.

'And we'll buy beer to shotgun, we'll lay in the lawn'

Greyson and I sat around the fire, André went out of Aysa's arms and dove in to mine.

'And we'll be good.'

Hearing that part of the song makes me remember every piece of good thing I did before everything started.

'Now I'm laughing at my boredom, at my string of failed attempts.'

Oh, God! I remember that time where I tried creating a little crib for André back then when he was about a year old. It didn't end well.

'And you don't want to be my boyfriend, and I don't want to be your girl.'

Oh. My. God.

The moment I heard that verse, I stood up and left André on the ground and I walk away, carrying my sword.

"Michonne? Michonne, what's wrong? What did I say?" Aysa stops singing and turns concerned.

I waved a hand on her and I walked away - into the woods and following the forest routes.
