Why Can't We..?

Chapter 7

"Mommy!" Ellie squealed as she bursted through the door, followed by her six laughing uncles 
"Hey baby!" I scooped her up and hugged her as I kissed her face all over 
"You look beautiful mommy!" She laughed 
"So do you!" I smiled and put her back on her feet
"Wow!" She exclaimed as she took a look around the house "everything is perfect!" She jumped up and down excitedly making all of us chuckle 
"We spoiled her rotten today noona" Jungkook said as he grabbed a water bottle from the fridge 
"She had so much fun" Yoongi said with a smile
"So did we!" Jimin chimed in with a laugh 
"I wish you came hyung, you would've had fun" Tae said to Jin as he took a seat at the kitchen table 
"I'm still covered in glitter" Namjoon said as he shook out his shirt 
"Same" Hoseok laughed as he shook his head and glitter fluttered down onto the table making me laugh 

I looked over at Jin and motioned to the back door with my eyes and he nodded
"Hey princess..uncle Jinnie has something for you outback" I smiled 
"Really? What is it?" 
"Go see" 

She took off running, as soon as she made it out back she let out a blood curdling scream and jumped up and down like a monkey before running in and out of the play house. She had to try out all of the buttons, tear everything apart, and danced around to the princess radio that played clips of disney songs 

"Thank you uncle Jinnie! Thank you thank you thank you!" She squealed and jumped up into his arms giving him her tightest hug and kissing his cheeks over and over making him laugh 
"Of course! Every princess needs a castle!" 
"I love it so much! Is Liza coming mommy? I want her to see my castle!"
"She is" I nodded and smiled 
She wiggled and Jin put her back on her feet as she ran back into her castle. 

"Hey Yumi!" Liza announced as I opened the door for her 
"Hey! Thank you for coming!" 
"Of course" she smiled "where is the princess?" 
"She's out back in her castle. You look amazing by the way!" 

Liza is Irish, she has long curly red/orange hair with freckles and beautiful green eyes, she also has an hourglass shaped body with hips and boobs that I would die for. She decided to dress up like princess Merida from the movie Brave and she ROCKED it. 

"Thank you! You look amazing too Snow White!" 
"Thank you!" I cheesed 
"Where should I put the presents?" 
"Over there in the living room" 
"Where is the princess?"
"Out back with all of her uncles, she wants you to see her new castle from uncle Jinnie" 
She giggled as we walked through the house and out the back door 
"Liza!!!!" Ellie squealed as she ran up to her, Liza picked her up and spun her around as she kissed her cheeks
"Happy birthday princess!!!"
"Come see my castle!!!" She pointed to the castle and had Liza carry her over there. She greeted the guys as they all introduced themselves and started talking as Ellie showed her the castle. I walked back into the house and double checked everything was set up and in order 

"Noona?" I turned around as Jin was walking into the house 
"What's up Jinnie?"
He blushed at the nickname and walked towards me, my heart started pounding in my chest 
"I was wondering.. I don't have a car, and I have to check some places out close by so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking me at some point in the next few days? Or if I could borrow your car?" 
"Whichever one you want I'm okay with"
"Would you want to come with me then? You know more about the area..and pricing and what not?"
"Absolutely" I smiled
He let out a sigh of relief and smiled
"Thank you so much noona!" 
"Of course!"
He hugged me, catching me off guard before I giggled and returned his hug. 

God he smells so fucking good. 

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Ellie! Happy birthday to youuuuuu" 
We all sang and clapped as she blew out her candles, after eating cake and ice cream we opened up all of her presents, none of them could compare to the literal castle Jin gifted her, but she loved all of them and thanked everyone with plenty of hugs and kisses. 

Her birthday was a total success. 

"Yumi?"
"Hmm?" I answered Liza as I cleaned some of the dishes in the sink 
"Ellie wants to know if she can have a sleep over at my house soon, I told her it was up to you since everyone was here"
"Oh, I don't care. I have to take Jinnie out to look at apartments anyway so whatever day you want you can have her" I giggled making her laugh 
"Awesome! Thank you so much! I've missed her the last few days" she pouted making me smile 
"You're like her older sister Liza, I can't thank you enough for that. And I've told you before whenever you want to have a sleepover with her, you're more than welcome to take her it gives me a chance to deep clean the house and read in peace" I laughed 
"Thank you Yumi" she hugged me tight 
"Of course!" 
She pulled away from me and ran towards the living room 
"Guess what Ellie? Mommy said yes!"
"Yay!!" She squealed and jumped up into her arms making Liza laugh as she spun Ellie around. 

A few hours later Ellie was asleep on the couch while the rest of us were out back sitting around my fire pit and having a few drinks, Liza wasn't drinking because she had to drive home but the rest of us were definitely enjoying our beers. 

I was having a conversation with Hoseok when I noticed Liza and Jin talking from the corner of my eye, it wasn't a big deal..but they were really close and laughing at christ knows what and I felt myself start to get a little jealous. 

I can't get jealous. 

They're practically the same age. 

She's just as beautiful as he is handsome.

He isn't her brother's best friend. 

She isn't a single mom that comes with baggage and works long ass hours. 

And they look cute together. 

I smiled accepting the reality of the situation, and what could happen between them as Hoseok continued to talk to me about his new project at work. I decided to give him all of my attention and ignore the ache that had started to form in my chest. 

"Good night everybody!" I shouted as I walked into the house, I smiled down at Ellie as I picked her up and carried her to her room. I tucked her into her bed and kissed her forehead before I walked over to my room and grabbed my pajamas and my shower stuff, I got a quick shower and walked back into Ellie's room, it didn't take very long for me to fall asleep with a smile on my face as I thought about how happy my princess was on her big day.

I held her close and snuggled with her through the night.
