Chapter 19

Four months later 

Jin POV

"Wake up Ellie" I shook her gently as I tried to wake her up 
"Today's the day!" She squealed as she opened her eyes making me smile 
"Shhh" I pressed my finger to my lips "remember it's a surprise" I whispered 
"Okay" she whispered back "are they here?"
"Yup! They're waiting for you downstairs, we already have breakfast and balloons ready, and I decorated the house after she fell asleep" 
"Yes!!!" She wrapped her arms around my neck making me smile wide as I hugged her back "she's going to be so excited!!!"
"I know! Remember the plan?"
"Yes!"
"Okay, get your dress on okay?" 
"Okay uncle Jinnie" she giggled as she got off of her bed and took her pajamas off, she rushed to get into her brand new princess gown, it was pink and black with sparkles and of course she had a matching tiara. We picked out a matching one for Yumi, but it's black with a little bit of pink and sparkles. 

Ellie and I have been planning this for months. Yumi's thirty sixth birthday. 
I got her the best present of all. 

Her brother.
And all of our friends. 

"I'm ready! How do I look?"
"Beautiful!"
"Can you brush my hair?"
"Of course" I smiled as I sat on the bed and spread my legs, she sat between my legs as I combed her hair out and put it up into two pigtails, Yoongi walked in just as I was finishing up 
"You guy- awwww" he smiled wide "can I take a picture"
"Yes!" Ellie squealed, making me laugh as Yoongi pulled out his phone and snapped a picture of Ellie and I. Once I was done she got up and ran to Yoongi, he bent down and picked her up as she jumped into his arms, he spun her around and showered her in kisses
"Are you ready?" He asked 
"Yes! I can't wait!" 
He put her down 
"Ready uncle Jinnie?"
I smiled and nodded 
I got up off of the bed and walked with Ellie to Yumi's room, Yoongi went back downstairs to the rest of the guys, I opened the door and Ellie ran in jumping on top of her mom

"Mommy! Mommy! Wake up!" 
"Five more minutes" she whined
"No mommy! Wake up!" She started shaking her "it's your birthday!"
"All the more reason to sleep" she smiled as she rolled over and took Ellie down with her, Ellie started laughing as Yumi tickled her sides. 

I smiled as I watched them roll around. 
I love these two girls more than I ever thought possible. 

I know, I'm not Ellie's dad. 
But I hope to one day receive that title. 
I would give my last breath if that meant this little girl had another. 
I would take a bullet for Yumi and not regret a single second. 
They complete me. 
Both of them. 
And I want to spend the rest of our lives loving them, and showing them how much they both mean to me. 

I can't pinpoint the exact moment I knew I loved Yumi, but I can pinpoint the exact moment I realized I was in love with her. 
I can pinpoint the exact moment, I realized I looked at Ellie as a daughter.

Ellie had gotten sick, Liza called Yumi and she came home early from work. When Yumi told me that Ellie needed to go to the hospital because of how bad it was I stood up in the middle of class and without warning yelled in front of everyone "my daughter is in the hospital, I have to go" and left without another word, or any of my books. I didn't realize until I was already on the bus that I had called her my daughter, and in a room full of strangers at that. 

Was it too soon? 
Probably. 
But it's how I felt. 
How I continue to feel. 

The moment I got to the hospital, I found her room and when I walked in Yumi was laying in the bed holding Ellie as she sang to her and kissed her forehead, trying to make her as comfortable as possible while she was sweating from coming down from the fever.
When Yumi realized I had entered the room, she looked up and smiled at me as she continued to sing. And in that exact moment, when our eyes met, and my heart was beating out of my chest from adrenaline and fear… 

I had made up my mind. 
I felt it click in my head.
I am head over heels in love with this woman. 
I will be the man she needs and deserves.

"Okay, okay, I'm up" Yumi said with a smile as she sat up 
"Happy birthday my love" I said with a smile as I walked towards the bed and kissed the top of her head 
"Thank you my love" she smiled up at me and pouted out her lips for a kiss making me chuckle before I leaned down and pecked her lips. "Breakfast is waiting for you" 
"It's a big breakfast mommy! Uncle Jinnie made so much food!" 
"I can't wait!" She cheered as the three of us walked out of the room and down the stairs, when she turned to enter the kitchen all of the guys yelled surprise making her jump and start crying as she ran straight towards Yoongi and wrapped him up in a big hug. 

"We did it!" Ellie whisper yelled to me making me smile 
"Yeah we did, thank you for helping" I leaned down and picked her up, she wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged me as I sat her on my hip 
"I love you uncle Jinnie" 
"I love you too princess" I smiled as I held her just a little tighter. I watched Yumi get all of her hugs and kisses from our friends, I couldn't help but smile wide as she sobbed happy tears. 

I always want to make her this happy. 

"Are you gonna do it today?" Ellie whispered in my ear
"I have to talk to uncle Yoongi first" I smiled 
"Okay" she giggled as she hugged me tighter.
