The three huddled closely in a room corner in front of a computer, peering at the screen in collected focus. Before we realize hundreds of eyes will see us on stage with booming music and bright lights. The thought of it is both exciting and utterly terrifying. I know we can do this, we've come so far! We have to keep practicing and we'll be great!

I could pick up little murmurs from a familiar girl trying to engrave lyrics into her head. I look over with my brows furrowed in annoyance, only to let out a gasp at the sight in front of me.

"Y/n what happened to you!" I asked, concerned. She perked up at my voice and looked over in hesitation, letting me meet her bloodshot eyes. Daniel turned around, eyebrows shooting up in shock at the state of the exhausted-looking girl.

You're in the same class as her, how did you not notice!

"Don't worry, I just didn't get much sleep last night," She responded with a rough voice, raising a shaky thumbs up with the sad response. I pulled on my hair at the pathetic response that only let more alarms go off in my head as I stared at the girl. I somehow knew she would pull something like this.

Her voice!

"Y/n were you straining yourself?!" I said with panic. Her eyes shifted away from me as she let out a small chuckle, looking guilty as she scratched her cheek. Daniel grabbed her arm and turned her to look into intense eyes. She blinked at the contact, staring at him like he wasn't the most intimidating thing in this room right now.

"Y/n you need some rest you can't keep doing this to yourself," He said the tight hold making her shift uncomfortably in her chair. After wiggling around trying to break eye contact she let out a loud groan sinking into her seat her head now resting on the seat itself.

"I'm alright I just need some sleep get off my back," she murmured then paused.

"Y/n get up"

"Y/n?"

...

Did she just fall asleep!?

A loud snore came from the curled up form confirming my thoughts. I spun around in my chair with my chin in my hand, thinking about what to do about this dangerous habit of hers. As I did this Daniel gradually let go of the girl's hand letting it fall limply onto her stomach. He watched her calm breathing noticing how peaceful she looked even with the eyebags and undone appearance.

With a heavy sigh, he ran his hand over her hair, noticing her lean into his touch through the sleep. He stared for a few more seconds, then picked her up and settled her with care back onto the chair the right way while trying not to disturb her slumber so she wouldn't be whining to him the next day about a sore neck.

I looked at Daniel waiting for him to say something only to notice that's probably not going to happen soon with him staring at her as if she'd disappear if she was let out of his sight.

"Hey uh, we should practice while she's asleep when she wakes up you should make sure she gets home safely." He looked over at me snapping out of his trance and nodded slightly, smiling at me and promising me he would take care of her.

"Okay let's continue then, Daniel show me what you can do," I said clapping my hands together and turning around to face the computer again.

"Okay!" He looked excited and started singing. The further he got into the song the further my jaw was to touching the ground.

What's this?!

His skill has improved a lot! In only ten days!

"How is this possible! Where were you hiding your skills?!" I said frantically, making a loud noise as I stood up from my chair in shock at the blushing beast sitting in front of me. This guy was really something else!
