Not much ran through y/n's head as she rode off from the library. The engines of her bike let out loud Hums as she rode faster and faster not knowing why she was doing so. It was still mid day so the sun was till out and the streets she passed were filled with people going on with their everyday lives.
Her eyes stayed glued to the street in front of her not letting any honking or loud noises distract her from whatever it was that she was doing. After riding for what seemed like hours she had arrived back at her place. Hopping off her bike she walked it over to the garage and put it away. As usual. Her face was blank as she walked towards her front door taking her keys out.
She placed her keys into the lock and twisted opening the door letting fresh air hit her. She walked in and closed the door listening to the absolute silence. She couldn't deny it. This did not feel like a home to her. It felt like a cage, a cage that filled her with the dreaded feeling of loneliness.
She stood in the middle of her living room and sighed at the feeling that overtook her. At least back at her old house she was able to feel the presence of people there. All that could be heard from the house was the small ticking coming from the clock.
'i have to get out of here'
She turned away from the living room and turned back to front door feeling a bit of relief as she stepped out letting the warm breeze guide her. She didn't know where she was going but she kept walking not bothering to look at any signs or acknowledge the gazes glued to her. After what seemed to be like an hour she looked up from the ground and read the sign of the shop in front of her.
"Star Coffee...interesting..."she mumbled to herself and walked into the small shop.
"welcome"
She looked around the place noticing the different chairs and people everywhere making it seem comfy. homey even. As she continues to scan the area she noticed a familiar figure at the register
...Daniel.
She noticed the lady from the library next to him looking uncomfortable. She didn't want to eavesdrop but she just had to. She stepped a bit closer to them and listened
" It's pretty expensive here. Don't they have instant coffee." Y/n isn't a very soft person but this broke her. She swiftly went up to the register and brought out a bill not caring worrying baout the price.
"i'll pay for them" She said with a sharp look in her eyes slamming the bill down onto the counter making the cashier jump.
"y/n?" she acknowledges him by looking at him from the corner of her eye before looking back at the cashier seeing how shocked he was by the money.
"keep the change"
"are you sure" He said hesitantly looking at the bill on the counter.
"yes and can you add a vanilla frappe and a bagel"
"uh okay your drinks will be out in a bit..." He walked away towards the back of the shop in a daze. y/n watches as he leaves letting out a quiet sigh.
"y/n."
She looks over her shoulder and smiles.
"Hey. How about we get a table and talk hm?"
:)
