Finally, the time of reckoning has come after all their practice and such they would finally perform in front of all these people and their beady little eyes watching them. Frankly, it was an absolutely horrific thought, but they can't exactly turn back now after all they had done.

They had arrived at the start of the vocal and dance department duet and finished getting ready by the time they had finished. A certain girl had peaked through the curtains peaking into the stage where she saw an exhausted pair of people making her more nervous.

Sure, she had interacted with a few producers in some of her dad's companies, some even giving her lessons that sparked her own hobby, but she had never actively performed for people! She picked at her fingers nervously, looking back at her friends, one of which didn't look much better than her.

Duke looked calm, excited even at the thought of his own performance completely opposite of the guy next to him that looked like he was sweating buckets. She pushed down her own nervousness as best as she could and try to calm down her friend.

"Hey it's alright we will be great out there. We practiced so much! Your voice is wonderful. Both of yours are we will be amazing and knock them out of the park, okay?" She looked between the two of them, getting a cheer from Duke and a distant stare from Daniel.

'They will both be here with me. I don't have to be afraid anymore '

His breathing seemed to calm down a bit, making her smile until suddenly one of the stage workers came up to them, rushing them to get on the stage handing them each a mic on the way out. One second they were in their safety behind the stage, the next they were walking up some stairs hearing themselves get introduced.

"Now a collaboration of the Fashion and Vocal plus Dance Department! Including Daniel Park, Duke Pyeon, and Y/n L/n!"

She heard her heart pumping from both adrenaline and fear as she stepped out onto the stage, being met with an ocean of a crowd screaming in excitement at the event. She felt her stomach drop to her feet and looked over at Daniel, that looked equally if not more horrified.

Again she swallowed her own fear and launched an arm around his shoulder, waving at the crowd. He sighed in her grasp and lingered by her side till questions were thrown his way.

"You're handsome. Is that your girlfriend? I think you can pick anyone you like today!" The announcer yelled, to which the nervous boy violently shook his head. The girl only took that as a sign to step away from him, not noticing how his head snapped back in fear to look at her at the lack of contact he felt.

As they threw more questions at Daniel Y/n and Duke simply waited till it was done. People were itching to come talk to Y/n but would be stopped both at the sight of Duke that she insisted to talk to and not leave his side and the death glares she would give if they had addressed only her leaving Daniel to face the most comments till the start of their performance.

They had all heard the comments being thrown at duke from their mouths. Y/n went to retort a few times only to be stopped by Duke himself that had taken it like a champ leading to a pissed off Y/n, a nervous Daniel, and a peaceful Duke at the stage, waiting for their time.

The lights were beaming down at them as the music started. Y/n stood in position, in the middle of the two, looking at Daniel sneakily, noticing his ever prevailing nervousness. She herself had felt nauseous after pushing it back for so long, but she would do anything to help these two know they would be great.

She whistled over at him as the music started and waited till he looked over to give him a beaming smile that he only widened his eyes at as she looked back in front of her to focus on her own lines. She listened out for Daniel's first line that she would follow in as backup only to hear something unexpected.
