Gone were the says of the boot camp, the kids got a well-deserved break to spend with their families after all that happened. Many left for their homes or went across the country to see relatives, but there were two sitting in a luxury apartment, still cleaning the wounds left from that day.
"Fuck that hurts"
...
He stared down at his seat mate, writhing in pain, asking how long it would take to go away. Thankfully, he had finished the work and put away the materials, ignoring her sigh of relief once she realized it was done and her carefully putting her shirt all the way back on.
When he came back he noticed she had made herself comfortable on his couch, leaving a space next to her that would barely accommodate him. Noticing him come back into the main room, she patted the side she left for him, calling for him to sit with a clueless grin.
And he did, not before getting wrapped in the blanket she had found and promptly put on top of him of course. Both of them faced the TV sinking in the couch. Neither of them had anywhere to go. Maybe it was better that way. Now they could spend it with one another.
A sudden commercial flashed onto the screen, surprising them both. Looking over at him, she noticed the interested gleam he had as he gazed at the screen. She squinted at the landscape ini front of her trying to remember where she had seen that before till finally she realized!
Once it showed the name on the TV.
"Busan? Do you want to go? No offense, but it beats staying here the whole break," He nodded, and they each planned their ticket for the quickest train there. He knew that he would be sacrificing time they would have by themselves here but he wanted her to have a good time away from it all. So he got up and started packing a ghost of a smile left on his face.
They spent the rest of their time at the house packing his bag with things that she absolutely adored on him and refusing his gifts of clothes to her to take until he pushed it into a bag and ignored her till she accepted her demise.
They got out, heading to the train and to anyone around them. They looked like a power couple. Both looking neat and clean as they strut to the station, turning some heads at their shine.
Y/n rolled her head to the side wanting to catch his attention which she had gained in her attempt and smiled."So I was thinking about trying this place when we get there. It looks shabby but I think it ... Hey what are you looking at?" In the middle of her suggestion, he seemed to look somewhere else behind her. She turned slightly and saw what he had.
An upset looking Daniel waiting for the bus of a small town. She turned back to her friend and noticed him staring directly at her, almost analyzing until it was gone, like it wasn't even there.
She hummed at the familiar sight and started moving to where they were planning to go. "I wonder where he's going." He shrugged, then grabbed her hand and started walking toward him. She let herself follow behind him, knowing there was no point in resisting especially with how eager he seemed to be. In their walk to him, he had noticed and had been surprised to see them all at the same place.
Then again, he saw the intertwined hands that swung between them slack as they walked. They're glowing! He felt his stomach drop and a familiar flutter take over in his chest when he had made eye contact with her still adjusting to her gaze.
"Hey Daniel. Where are you going?" They finally made it to him, swinging their arms between the two of them slightly. His eyes still followed their hands, missing the look Jay had given him as he did so. But that too, flashed away as soon as it appeared.
