Daniel showed up and started prepping for the hours of work ahead of him. Though he tried to focus on getting the store ready, but the thought of his performance plagued his mind. As soon as the boy stopped moving the anxiety flooded back into his mind, making him shiver at the new unwanted feeling.

Will I be prepared?

Can I do this?

The questions kick-started his descent into madness.

He paused for a second and looked around the shop with shifty eyes, making sure no one could lurk nearby to overhear him. When he assumed he was good to go, he cleared his throat and sang that song he would preform, only to realize something that would change the whole outcome of his performance.

My throat doesn't hurt!

With these two bodies, I can practice for 24 hours!! I've got to practice all night long!!! Oh, wait. Today is one of y/n's shift days, I wonder when she is going to show. I may as well fit in the practice before she gets here.

However, he failed to realize someone listening from right outside the door undetected by his shifting eyes.

It was a quiet night; the stars gleamed in the endless black abyss, almost as if perfectly placed to admire from afar. A slight wind being all one could pick up through the dark streets this late at night, the peaceful sounds being interrupted only by the rustling of leaves covering the ground nearby.

The girl leaned against the icy wall, eyes shut with focus, listening to the sound of the boy's voice resonating through the small building. She softly smiled in admiration as she listened to the passion in his voice as he sang with no care in the world. Though an overwhelming sense of pride swelled within her, a tight frown found its way on her face.

Why?

Only Duke, Daniel, and I knew about the song.

She paused at the notion, letting her head hit the wall, processing the information. How could it be? Is that possible? A wave of confusion left her staring into the night sky as she tried to piece together some explanation that made any sense.

Maybe Daniel would talk to him about it? Perhaps he shared the lyrics and practiced with him. Her face twist with confusion.

But that made no sense. How would he have learned the lyrics in such a compact time frame? She took a deep breath and looked at the night sky. She's not sure what's going on anymore is she putting together pieces to a puzzle she may not want to understand or had it been she overthinking everything and making this seemed bigger than its reality.

With all her thinking and focus she didn't notice a young lady walk by her, only being brought back to reality with soft giggles and the jingle of the door opening.

"Have a goodnight!!"

She lazily looked over and made eye contact with the pretty girl she has seen before once or twice. She gave a slight eyebrow raise, only to be met with an eye roll.

Okay, whatever it's getting cold, anyway.

She pulled herself together and shifted her expression into a smile before entering the store by doing what anyone with a brain would do.

Kicking it open with brute force.

"Hello, Danny! I didn't know you could sing like that!" she teased with a smirk on her face, leaning into the frightened young man that backed up against the wall of death sticks with fear written in his eyes.

"Y/n! You scared me, and the door doesn't open that way! What did you do!!!"

~Time skip~

"Okay okay, so why isn't a koala considered a bear?"

"Koalas are marsupials."

"No stupid, it's because they don't have the koalifications."

Ring~

Oh shoot customer service voice y/n.

"Welcome!" The two tired workers said harmoniously.

Wait a second, those aren't regular customers. MY BOIS!

"Duke! Jiho! What are you guys doing here?!" the excited girl said loudly, leaning over the counter with glimmering eyes at the two guests.

"Oh, hey Y/n we kinda want to talk to Daniel if you wouldn't mind," Jiho said shifting in his place in front of the door waiting for the other young man to follow them outside.

"Oh Okay! Y/n make sure the place doesn't burn down while I'm gone, okay?" Daniel blurted before making a run for the door.

"Shut up you ass!"

Daniels Pov

"You're not weak, work out. If you don't know how come find me." he walked back into the night leaving me with those words to think about. After that, the guys left to get some sleep, leaving me to go back into the store. I stood in front of the door staring at the papers littering over the entrance.

Y/n.

She said something weird today in my other body. She may have just misspoken. There is no way she could know I've been doing such a good job at hiding it. Maybe I wasn't doing as well as a job as I thought. She's going to hate me!

I gripped the handle of the door, seeing my knuckles turn white, feeling sweat make its way onto my face. I slowly look up from where I stood, only to make eye contact with the queen herself.

Her eyebrows were raised in an unamused expression, staring at me through the doors.

The glass doors.

I opened the now both way opening door quickly and walked over with false confidence to her like I didn't make a fool of myself seconds ago. As I inched closer, I felt her piercing eyes searching into me more than ever making my confident strut turn into a concerned waddle. But before I could reach the table and try to talk to her about what she said earlier, the doors slammed open.

Ring~

Both of our eyes snapped over to the intruder only to see Vasco with tears in his eyes, making both of us more shocked than we already were.

"Oh, geez Vasco are you okay?" Y/n said in concern making her way around the counter putting a hand on his shoulder for some support. He looked down at her and waved his hands in front of him in pain. He desperately looked around before seeing something he needed.

"My fingers are on fire! Can you ring up a burn balm for me and- "

"Chocolate milk?" Y/n said grabbing one from their compartment before hearing his answer.

"Yes, please!" He stood in front of us waiting for her to ask for the money only to be surprised by her grabbing his hands tenderly and rubbing the balm on the freshly forming red on his fingers. He examined her work a little shocked and stared at his fingers for a few seconds before being snapped back into reality by the girl.

I only watched the encounter on the side, touching my own fingers at the sight.

"Feel any better? I hope it heals soon. That can hurt." She said letting go of his fingers before going back into her usual laid back position on the chair.

"You didn't have to do that-"

"Oh shut it, just take your milk and be careful next time alright?"

"Okay well both of you have a goodnight and Daniel don't forget what I said"

After that he left looking a little dazed, leaving me standing next to the smiling girl. I looked down at myself and clenched a fist at my side.

I won't.
