third pov

the doctor emerged out of the emergency room door while taking off his cap. all four of them stood up from their seats and approached the doctor.

"are you kim taehee's family members?" the doctor asked.

"yes." taehee's father confirmed the doctor's statement.

"she experienced huge blood loss and some serious injuries, deep cut on her abdomen area, bruises as well as bone fractures on her arm and legs. after doing an x-ray on her we found she also broke a rib."

"however, the surgery went well and she's in a stable condition now." huffs of relief could be heard all over the room as they felt like they had been liberated from the heavy weight that have been weighing them down.

beomgyu swept his hair up and thanked God for protecting his beloved one from that life threatening situation. taehee's mother hugged her husband in relief and so did he hug her back. taehee's brother, taehyung closed his eyes and a smile finally grazed his plump lips as he expressed his joy for the safety of his younger sister that he cherished so much.

after taehee was moved to her room all of them payed her a visit. in the sight of the unconcious girl on the bed made beomgyu's heart ache. she looked so fragile, so weak. the night was quiet as all of them await for her to wake. a phone call later, her brother was on his way telling the others to call him when something happened. another, and her father went. the ones left were her mother and her first love. her mother fell asleep covered in her shawl on the sofa. beomgyu stared at his girlfriend with such expectant and loving eyes, before caressing her hand and kissing it. he rested his head on the bed until his eyes were too heavy to be kept open and his thought drifted off.

he jerked to conciousness as he dreamt of that terrifying night. he searched for taehee who was still lying on her bed but now staring at him. "taehee?" he called. "taehee!" joy lingered in his voice as he saw the sweet smile on her beautiful face.

"how are you feeling?" he asked.

"a bit dizzy, but otherwise fine." she answered, her voice small and a little hoarse.

beomgyu nodded and searched for the doctor as taehee's mother awoke from her uncomfortable sleep. he left the loving family and called for the doctor.

after a check up and an update that taehee was improving well beomgyu sat alone with taehee as her mother informed her father and brother of the good news through phone.

he stared deep into her eyes. her loving eyes. the pair of eyes that he yearned to see in so long. the same warmth was reflected feom his eyes. the warmth that she savours as he caressed her cheek with his warm hands.

"i'm sorry" was the first thing that he uttered.

the painful memory bombarded her and made her heart heavy. she didn't want him to feel guilty as it was all a misunderstanding made by yuna. she now understood.

"i'm sorry for not trusting you. i'm sorry for nit believing in you. i'm sorry for being jealous and got angry at you. i'm sorry. i have no reason whatsoever to get angry with you." his genuine apology brought her to tears.

"i'm also sorry for not being able to look you in the eyes" she managed through all the tears.

he kissed her tear covered cheek lovingly before the door opened so forcefully revealing taehee's family, a terrified hyunjin and tearful jieun and jungah. an awkward cough later, hugs were sent towards taehee.

"we're so scared! w-why did she h-have t-to do it t-to you! s-such a sweet girl!" jungah's frown and her face red. her eyes filled with water as she squeezed those words out in between hiccups. jieun nodded furiously her face also flushe but her face relieved seeing her friend now save.

hyunjin was next. he did not say much but he definitely was happy that his childhood friend was healing and was safe.

her family exchanged loving words. before she stared at her parents. "what happened to yuna. she f-fell. what happened to her?"
