yuna felt contented that night and fell asleep without taking any of the pills but she woke up again. her breathing laboured sweat covering her skin that forced her to take the pills. those pills were bound to have an awful side effect on her the next day. but she had no choice. the next morning her head felt like it was splitting in two.

a few days later, as she made her way to school, she saw a familiar girl walking and something in her snapped. she remembered taerin's wicked smile at her as she trapped beomgyu. her smirk as she spoke in the deep voice of her father's. "no wonder no one wants you. no wonder your mother left you." and that cackling laugh that poured out of her mouth. what followed after that, she no longer remembered.

she remembered confronting taerin to stay away from beomgyu. to not trap beomgyu with her claws around his neck. she did not want her to steal her happily ever after for herself. yuna remembered vaguely how taerin hit her in front of her locker when she tried to confront her. slapping her hard across the face until her head swing to the right. she did it repeatedly until it was swollen aching even. red and blue sullied its surface as blood trickled from my lips. it was the nightmare happening in real life. taerin is really evil. yuna remembered clearly how taerin held her hand making her immobile.

beomgyu emerged not long after rescuing the almost fainting yuna from taerin's grasp. tears trickled from yuna's pained eyes as she cried for help.

beomgyu's eyes were filled with rage as he pushed away taerin from on top of yuna. he took yuna in his arms. protecting her from the seemingly dangerous taerin. anger masked his disbelief and hurt as he looked at the miserable figure of yuna. yuna remembered them arguing before beomgy carried her in his arms and she lost her conciousness.

by the end of the day, beomgyu drove her home after taking care of her and yuna felt relieved that she was provided sanctuary.

a few days later yuna was suddenly met with an enraged beomgyu. the softness and kindness that took care of her vanished from his eyes and his voice. he was tremblinh with anger but yuna did not have any clue on why he was angry.

his face was twisted into a bitter expression. scanning her sharply as if searching for something," what happened?" she was utterly confused. she had no clue of what was happening. why beomgyu was being like this. why he had turned 180 degrees from what he was a few days back. the angel was long gone.

"why did you do it?"

his words sent chills down her spine as she froze in place unable to move. knowing exactly what he was talking about, but at the same time not knowing what he was talking about. why was she like this? but she knew one thing's for sure. she had to defend herself at all cost.

"what.. exactly are you talking about, beomy?"

"don't act like you don't know! you know exactly what i'm talking about!" acid was spewing out of his mouth as he said those words and she was getting more and more anxious. she looked down. slowing down her breath and relaxing her tensed muscles. she had to think. what exactly was he talking about? think yuna, think.

"i.. really don't know."

he huffed in frustration and glared at her with anger. her schoolmates watching the whole ordeal from the side they were the only spectators of the whole scene as the corridors were almost deserted.

"don't you dare lie to me! i saw the video of everything that you did to yourself!" he emphasised the word 'yourself'. yuna was petrified. what? she was hyperventilating. she couldn't think. her brain got cloudy. what really happened that time. no, i didn't hit myself, she hit me! i know she did!

her eyes teared up as she clamped a hand over her mouth expressing my disbelief as she knew it was over. her body shivering in distress and fear of her failing condition. our relationship's gonna end here. i'm going crazy. yuna thought. fisting her hair in frustration. her legs were trembling.

"how dare you frame her? why did you do that to her? she didn't even do anything to-"

"IT'S ALWAYS HER! all you care for is her! all you want is her! and all you need is her!" yuna cried out. she fell to the floor. tears flooding her eyes, flowing to her cheeks and dropping from her chin. her breathing was more erratic than before. she was broken.

"are you that blunt to not realise my feelings towards you all these years?! i just want you to pay more attention to me! but ever since she butted her way into our lives.. you turned away from me.. completely.. it hurts, beomy, it hurts.." her vision was now blurred with tears, her eyeliners smudged unattractively all over her cheeks. she looked up at him, searching for pity which was nowhere to be found. his expression was stoic. looking down at her with hate and distaste.

"why.. won't you love me?" she asked, her voice broken with the overwhelming emotions that were weighing her down.

"i love her, only her. i loved you, as a sister, nothing more."

those words pierced right through her heart. my breathing stopped for a while as those words dawned into her. it broke her. she was not going to be the same again. darkness enveloped her heart. she could not think clearly.

beomgyu turned on his heel and was ready to leave. "and don't call me beomy again, it disgusts me." and he left her there.. broken.

she swore to herself to at all cost get revenge on the girl who started this whole mess. kim taerin.

yuna went home to her father who again abbused her. breaking her even further. she went to her psychiatrist a few hours after she was beaten.

the whole time she looked at the blank wall. the psychiatrists voice barely heard. "yuna-ya. can you hear me?" she asked. ms yang was staring at her with concern.

"huh?" yuna snapped out of her trance.

"how are you feeling?" she asked.

"i-i'm fine" she lied. she knew these therapy sessions were supposed to help. however, it wouldn't help if her father found out about her failure and further beat her up.

"how was the medicine that i prescribed?" she asked.

"it.. didn't help" yuna said while peeling off the deicate skin on her finger producing blood that oozes out of the newly formed wound. "i will prescribe you a stronger one" she said. "for now, eat the one that i gave you first" she said.

"but don't eat too much of it. it's side effect can give an adverse effect on your body and brain" she said. that part, yuna did not hear. she continued to fiddle with her finger. seemingly interested in the red that smeered her white trousers.

yuna entered the black car. her father's assistant seated on the front seat as he drove the car. "your father wanted to meet you." yuna looked outside the window. she did not give any response as she was distracted by the movinh lights as the car zoomed down the road.
