"Please please please, Luci!" you beg while grasping both his hands together with yours.

A few days ago you recieved a letter from your cousin. A wedding invitation, to be exact. In it you were told you could bring a date if you wanted, and knowing your family will talk if you don't, you decided to ask Lucifer to accompany you.

"Luci, please! If I go alone, my family will nudge and mock me relentlessly!" You love your family, but truth be told you aren't thrilled to attend to the wedding. The thing is, your family is very sociable, unlike you. In all your life you never really had a romantic partner, which caused you to suffer the endless questions and teasing because of it.

Lucifer sighs exasperated. You've been asking the same thing for three days straight. "Why don't you ask one of my brothers?" he inquires tired.

"Your brothers would probably cause a scene," you explain. "Besides, I feel most comfortable with you," you add with a slight pout.

Lucifer's face softens at your last words. He frees one of his hands from your grip to caress your cheek. "In that case, I'll go."

"Really?!" you exclaim surprised, to which Lucifer chuckles lightly.

"Of course."

You smile widely, throwing your arms around his torso. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"So, tell me about this wedding."

After Lucifer agreed on accompanying you to the wedding, you settled on his private study. Making yourselves comfortable, you told him everything about your family and your relatives who were about to get married. Lucifer listens attentively, rarely speaking up except when he needs some clarification.

"By the way," you catch Lucifer's attention, "we need a story."

"A story of what?" he questions confused.

"Of us!" Lucifer frowns in total confusion at your words. "Well, I can't tell them you're a demon, y'know. Besides, if we're going to fake dating we better do it well enough to be credible," you huff, already worried of how things will turn out.

Lucifer smirks. He leans in, his index finger under your chin to make you look at him. "Are you doubting my acting skills?" he inquires with a raised eyebrow. His dark eyes stay on you even when you turn your head away in embarrassment. It's so easy for Lucifer to fluster you, you think to yourself.

"S-So," you stutter involuntarily, trying to change the subject. You cough slightly to regain your composure. "We met at a cafe, I slipped and you catched me. I invited you to coffee as thanks, and things just happened. Understood?" you finish quite hastily.

Lucifer nods his head slowly, a smirk still lingering on his lips. You discretely let out your breath relieved. You continue with the fake story you had come up with, and tell the demon his new identity on the human world. Now Lucifer is a businessman and the right-hand man of a really important CEO he can't talk of because of privacy reasons.

"You sure have thought this out," Lucifer hums amused.

"Details are important for a convincing story." You go over the story of how you met once more, searching for any flaw or nonsense there could be.

The both of you kept the conversation going, unaware of the six pairs of ears attentively listening in on you on the other side of the door.

Soon enough, the day of the wedding arrived. You prepared everything you'll need up in the human world, that's to say Lucifer's and your luggage, while Lucifer put up a note on the dining hall telling the others you'll be away for some days and to behave. Of course, you said nothing about the wedding to them. Who knows what would happen if they were to attend the wedding...
