A/N AWWW Sasha's pups in her tummy! Okay but like this is the cutest thing ever. 

Ben had been at the door with his earbuds in. But he had politely stowed them away as they walked. 

"So what were you listening to?" Rey asked as they walked across the street. 

"Oh, just a podcast." 

"About what? Buildings?" Rey asked teasingly. 

"No." Ben said, the corner of his mouth twitching. "Science fiction novels." 

"Nerd." Rey commented. 

Ben nearly skidded to a stop in the middle of the crosswalk but one look at Rey's face made him realize she was teasing him. He smirked at her. 

"Says the one who admits she is obsessed with Jane Austen." 

"I didn't say I was obsessed I just admire her." 

"Hmmmmm." Ben said, and Rey laughed.

Ben nodded 'hello' to the receptionist and shut the door behind him. Sasha stood up with a tiny groan and her backside began to wiggle happily at the sight of him. 

"Has her belly always been that big?" Ben asked as he sat next to Rey. 

"It's like it happened overnight. Before long she'll be a barrel with legs." 

It was Tuesday, and they were at Sasha's vet. 

Ben gave a laugh and Rey stared at him. She looked at his gentle eyes that always creased when he laughed. The small moles that dotted his incredibly handsome face. (Hmmmmmmmmm) 

"Do I have toothpaste on me?" Ben asked, raising a hand and wiping his mouth hastily. 

"What? No." Oh NO. She had been staring at him. Rose was RIGHT! 

"Hey, Rose is a little worried." 

"Bout what?" He asked, looking at her. 

"Well, Hux hasn't called her yet and she's scared that she scared him away because she drew a heart and her phone number on his cup." 

"You mean.. he hasn't called her yet?" 

Rey shook her head. 

"I'll let him know. For you." 

Rey blushed. "For Rose." She corrected. 

"Both of you." 

The same tech entered the room and smiled as they stood up and looked at each other and laughed. They entered the same room and the tech took note of her. 

"Dr. Hooper will be with you shortly." She said, before exiting. 

"Talk about major deja vu." Rey said. Ben chuckled.

"Last time you were so mad. You hated me then." 

"I did not HATE you. I was overwhelmed." 

"With hate." Ben said, teasingly. 

Rey frowned. 

"I was worried about what Poe was going to say. I was worried how I was going to handle myself on my own. All my life I had to take care of myself. Just me. And now I was going to be in charge with another person's dog who was pregnant? I didn't know what to do. I still don't! I didn't hate you. I never did. I never could. I just.." 

"Rey.." Ben said, reaching over and taking one of her hands. She stared up at him, her mind racing. 

"I was only joking." Ben said seriously, staring into her eyes. "After all, like you said.. this is all my fault." He cracked a smile.
