My eyes burst open at the sound of metal scratching at cement. I stood up quickly, only to lean back against the wall. My hands shot up to grab my head. It felt as if bolts of lightning were striking me. The sound got louder. I limped towards a near by vine and grasped it tightly. The pain in my head soon fled to the rest of my body. I looked up at the sky to see that the sun was going to be rising soon. Wait... How did I know that? Who am I? Where am I? Why can't I remember anything? All those questions ran through my head, and more.

The sound got closer and closer, until I saw... A monster. It was half robot and half... Slug, rat, goat... Thing. I spin around on my heels before sprinting down the passage. RIGHT,LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT was the pattern I repeated until I reached a dead end. My vision was becoming more and more blurry. I turned around only to see the creature standing over me. It bared its teeth, ready to rip out my throat.

Then a large screeching sound came from behind me. The wall was opening. I dodged the creature just in time and ran through the empty space between the separating walls. The creature turned around and ran back to where ever it came from. I continued to run but bumped into something, or someone. I stepped back, only to meet the eyes of teenage boy. I pulled out what was swung over my shoulder and saw that it was a bow. I pulled out an arrow and loaded it, pointing it at one of the boys in front of me.

Pain shot through my head again. I dropped my bow to the ground before collapsing. I fell forward and felt arms keep me from falling more. My vision was so blurry that I could not see a thing at that point. The last thing I heard and saw was the boys face and me whispering,'HELP ME!'
Then all went black.

"It's a girl?!"

"Yes you halfwit! It's a girl! What did you think it was? A Griever?"

"Look she is waking up!"

My eyes flickered open and I gasped for air. I shot upright and breathed heavily. My eyes darted around the room and looked at every person. There were at least 10 people trying to hold me down. The pushed me down to what ever I was laying on. My breathing became slower and I became calmer. As I calmed down, fewer and fewer arms left me. I looked around me and saw that I was surrounded by boys.

"Where am I? Who am I? How did I get here? Why don't I remember anything?"

"It is ok, all of us have been through this, your name will come back to us in a few days."

"What do you mea-"

I was interrupted by a tall, black haired boy cutting through the crowd.

"Welcome to the Glade, Greenie!"
