The Girl In Shining Armour

Chapter 6

I was woken up to the sound of the doors opening. I slowly opened my eye and lazily got out of my bed. Today was the day of Ben's banishing. We had to be at the doors before they closed so he would be locked in the Maze for the night. Everyone knows that no one survives a night in the Maze.

After getting dressed, I headed down to Frypans for breakfast. Today's breakfast menu was bacon. Everyone loved Frypans bacon. It was so good. I went up the counter to grab some bacon and went to sit down. I sat down at a table by my self on the corner of the small shack. I set the plate I had grabbed down in front of me and began to eat.

I wiped the bacon from my mouth and went back out side. I needed a break. Everything was so overwhelming. Gally liked me, Ben was being banished and I was attacked just yesterday by someone I barely knew. For some reason I felt like I knew Ben more. I pushed all those thoughts aside and headed over to the "archery range" I had set up. I grabbed my bow from the stand I set up and shot the arrows at the target. Each arrow hit the dead centre every time. I looked into the centre of a target and began to see more memories.

"Come on Susan! Just shoot it already!" Lucy said in a loud whining voice.

"Fine, Lu..." I said. I let go of the arrow and shot it at the target. It hit the centre dot of the target. She gasped an then pulled out a dagger. She launched it at the target and hit the same dot. Her dagger split my arrow in half and we fell down onto the grass laughing...

I shook my head and looked back at the target. I shot one more arrow and split mine in half.

I clutched my ears tightly. A loud sound of metal scraping against metal echoed through out the Galde. I watched as 50 teenagers started to run towards a box in the centre of the area. I slung my bow over my shoulder and ran to the swarm of boys. The sound got louder and louder the closer I got. I stopped at the front of the swarm and watched Gally and Newt open the box. Newt jumped down and gasped.

'What is it?'
'Is it another girl?'
'If it is, is she hot?'

All those questions were whispered through out the swarm.

"Ably?" Newt yelled. Ably jumped into the box and Said.

"Spit it out, Newt. Tell them what you see."

"There are three..." He said and everyone gasped"... 2 boys and one girl..." I watched as some of the boys around the circle smirked and walked away.

"GREENIE! Get down here!"

I jumped down, into the box and looked at the girl.

I jumped backwards and backed into the box. I raised my hand to my mouth. It was Lucy. She was unconscious, but it was Lucy. I looked at the other boys in shock. Peter and Edmund? They were unconscious too.

"Do you know them...Susan?"
I nodded my head.

Lucy's head slowly began to rise.
She looked at me and tilted her head in confusion.

"Susan?" She said. I slowly stepped over to her and kneeled down beside her. She looked at me and then at the rest of the group.

"Where am I? Why am I here? Why am I not in Narnia?" She asked. My hand reached out and laid its self on her shoulder. She looked me in the eye. I sighed before answering.

"Welcome to the Glade..."
