3rd Person POV

The warm kiss of the setting sun hits the (s/c) skin of the child playing gleefully on a mat in her room as it's now only peeking from the horizon, little by little succumbing. A creaking noise of a door can be heard from the living room area where the child's mother reads her favorite novel calmly while resting on the couch.

Glancing at the door where the woman's husband enters, a smile already made its way to her face. She swiftly stood up as she closed and left her book on the couch. Welcoming her husband with a warm hug and a peck on the lips, she helped him remove his coat and hat. Her hands found a place at his arms as she lovingly looked at him in the eyes.

"How was it?" Her own (e/c) eyes stared at his shining gold ones. A sigh escaped from his lips as he pulled his wife deeper in his arms and whispered.

"They still don't get it. She's just a child, we're just a normal family, why can't they understand?" His embraced tightened around her as her smile falters and her eyes drops.

"Not all people will and can understand you. Only when they are on your shoes will they understand." Their silent and peaceful moment was disturbed by rapid footsteps coming down from the stairs.

"Daddy you're back!" The little girl screamed as she jumped on the last two steps of the stairs. The couple faced their child with wide smiles and open arms waiting for her.

"Come here my little cherry, did you miss daddy so much?" The girl ran to him and hugged his legs since she's still small compared to his father's height.

"Really really miss you! Why are you gone every single day anyways?" The little girl pouted at him with creased brows. His father laughed at her and brought her in his arms.

"I'm preparing a very special birthday gift for you my little cherry. It takes a lot time to have the best things in life, right? So we should be patient enough to wait for them." He poked her nose and kissed her forehead as she only giggled.

"I can't wait for the gift daddy!" She climbed out of her father's embrace and situated herself on his shoulders.

"Oh but you should, if you want the best gift that is." He steadied her by holding both of her legs on each side of his head.

"Then I will wait! No matter how long it takes!" She shouted as she raised her arms up. Her mother, who was attentively listening, chuckled at the two of them as she walked closer and took the little girl in her arms.

"Alright that's enough both of you. Let's have dinner, I already cooked a while ago so we shouldn't keep the food waiting." The man helped his daughter climb down from his embrace as the child ran over to her mother and took her hands into her small ones pulling her into the dining room.

"Let's go mommy and daddy! Mommy made my favorite today so I wanna eat now!" The couple laughed but followed her.

After the wonderful dinner, the child's mother carried her to her room since it's already time for bed. The woman placed the sheets over her small frame as the child rubs her eyes and let out a yawn.

"But mommy I don't wanna sleep yet." She complained.

"But you should cherry, that is if you don't wanna stay that small." Her mother joked with a slight chuckle.

"Wait! I'm sleeping now! See! I'm asleep!" The little one sprawled her body all over as she faked snore and closed her eyes imitating a sleeping person.

"Aww my baby cherry's sleeping, goodnight my little one. Have a great sleep." The woman placed a warm kiss on her daughter's forehead as she unknowingly fell asleep while trying to do the imitation.

The woman made sure to securely lock the windows from her daughter's room and closed the curtains. She opened the night light on the bedside table while smiling softly at her child's frame. She quietly went out and went to her and her husband's shared bedroom. Once she came in, the view of her husband's hunched back came into her line of vision as he let out a tired sigh and rubbed his forehead with his thumb and index finger, trying his hardest to get rid of the migraine slowly crawling up to his head. Her face dropped at this sight, she closed the door as she went in and sat beside her husband, side hugging him in the process.

"Hey, let's not think about it at the moment okay? You should take a rest, you've been working a lot harder these days." She rubbed comforting circles on his back as his golden eyes met her (e/c) ones.

"It's not hard enough if I can't even fight and win for my own daughter's rights and freedom." He placed his face on the palm of his hands, hiding his disappointed expression to his wife.

"Don't be disappointed, my love. There will be a time when she will be free. I'm sure of it. Now how about we take our deserved rest as well, hmm?" She gave out a comforting smile to him which brought a small smile to his face.

"That we need. I'll just think about it tomorrow after a good night's sleep. I will push this further no matter how stubborn they can be." His eyes shined in determination.

"What can I say? You are the most stubborn person I've ever met my whole life." His wife joked at him as he showed her an evil grin.

"Oh is that so? You'll pay back for that!" He started tickling at her sides as she uncontrollably laughed at this, begging for him to stop.

Moments later, the couple felt the need to sleep. They lied down side by side, tightly holding each other. The constant stress and work they have to do tires them out to death. But they would never give in, because if there is one thing they would never be tired of, that would be loving their daughter and giving her all the best things in the world.
