(Not) Completely Sane

Chapter 1: Izuku Midoriya.

"izuku Midoriya, who has been missing for over a year has just been located, police are question the young boy about what happened and where he has been, more news when we get an update."

That was a year ago, after finding out that Izuku's mind wasn't completely there after the treatment he received when he was kidnapped he was put into a facility to be rehabilitated a year later he was released to attend high school. However no school wanted him because of what happened. They didn't want the threat of villains coming to kidnap their student and because since izuku was forcefully given his quirk he has little control over it. The principal of UA high, Nezu proposed that UA take him. They can teach him to use his quirk properly, protect him from being kidnapped again and the students will be able to properly handle his 'situation' however if izuku still had to take the tests to get in.

Day of the entrance exam practical.

"now, you be careful Izuku, do your best and don't worry if you fail." Inko says playing with Izuku's shirt, fixing the little creases that had appeared due to his movement that morning after getting dressed. "don't forget your medication and coping strategies okay, I don't want you to get hurt or hurt yourself."
"I'll be fine mum, it's been two years, I think I have the hang of it." izuku says happily. "and, kacchan will be there!"
"you've been excited to see katsuki." she says smiling at her happy son.
"yeah!" izuku looks over at the clock and gasps "ah, I need to go, bye mum, love you!" izuku jumps into action planting a loving kiss on his mother's cheek before grabbing his backpack, slipping his red shoes on and running out the door. After a quiet train ride 'thankfully' and a short walk Izuku arrives at UA. He goes inside excitedly looking at all of the students around him when he kicks a rock and starts to fall. He quickly puts his arms out to cushion his fall but he never fell. He looks around and sees that he is floating.
"woah!"
"sorry I used my quirk on you without permission, It'd be bad if you tripped though right, don't want to start out on the wrong foot." a cheery girl with light brown hair in a bob kind of cut says. She gets izuku upright before releasing her ability and saying goodbue before izuku could say anything. Izuku then quickly makes his way to the hall where he needed to go to get the details of the exam. Izuku happily gushes when he sees Present Mic. He looks around at all of the students bouncing his leg up and down. Present mic starts to explain how the exam would be done but after telling everyone about the point system a strange young man stands up and asks for an explanation on why there are four robots pictured in the hand out when present mic only spoke about three.
"the fourth one is a robot best avoided, it is worth zero points and is a pain, if you see it run the other way to get more points!" mic says.
"also, you there!" the young man with blue hair points over to izuku startling him. "are you aware you're bouncing you're leg, it is distracting to the students around you."
"I'm sorry." izuku mumbles. Izuku pushes on his leg to stop it from bouncing. The young man sits down and mic continues. After the introduction the students are seperated and sent to their respective city blocks for the test. Izuku marvekd at the different types of quirks he could see. He the spots the girl that helped him that morning and started to go over to her but he is stopped by the blue haired kid from the presentation.
"can't you see that girl is trying to get ready, some of us actually want to do good on this exam." he says
"I know..." izuku mumbles "so do I" before the boy could respond mic's voice bellows out across the grounds.
"okay everyone, get ready!" he says. All of the students started to get into a position and izuku just stood there like a lost puppy. At that moment the doors opened. Izuku, unable to contain his excitement rushes over to the now fully opened doors and into the cityblock behind him he hears mic say the others that there is no start in a real battle. Izuku managed during the exam to destroy quite a few robots but he hadn't used a quirk to do so he just pulled out a bunch of wires and they shut down or blew up. While pulling out the wires to a two pointer the ground suddenly started to shake. Izuku looks around and sees a giant robot, the same size as the tallest buildings in the cityblock. There was no way to miss it. All of the students started to run away from it but excitement bubbled up in izuku's chest.
"I wonder how I could kill that robot!" he thinks happily. He then hears a yell. He almost didn't hear it due to the other kids yelling while running away from the giant robot. He looks around and sees the girl from before trapped under some rubble. He sprints over.
" are you okay?" he asks.
"I can't move." she says. Izuku looks to the rubble, the girl and then to the giant robot that was still approaching them.
"I can use my quirk but..." he starts.
"but?"
"I don't have much control over it." he confesses. He looks back to the robot and then smiles. "I'll be back." izuku then runs over to the robot. He hops onto its leg and squeezes in-between the protective plate on the front of its leg. He then uses the cables and climbed up. He moved as fast as he could. Just as he reached its head the robot started to go faster having targeted the fleeing students. Izuku climbed onto its head and dangled over looking into its eye. This causes the robot to stop almost startled by his sudden appearance.
"cool, it's so red!" izuku says happily. He punches the red lens and reaches into the robots head. He grabs a handful of the wires and pulls as hard as he could ripping them out. He did this three times before the robot jolted and then slumped, dead. He makes his way back down and then over to the girl. He then finds a broken pole and wedged it in between the rubble and the ground.
"get ready to pull yourself out." he says. He puts all of his weight onto the pole and the rubble lifted, only slightly but it was enough. The girl was able to pull herself out.
"thankyou." she says. Izuku gives her and smile and goes to find more robots but he trips on some concrete before he fell however the girl stops him from falling. After releasing him she immediately turns away and throws up.
"Gome over, times up, anyone who is injured go to recovery girls office to be healed!" present mic announces.
"sorry you couldn't get anymore points." the girl says.
"it's okay!" izuku says happily. He waves to the girl and skips away humming happily. He returns home and tells inko all about the exam and what happened.
"oh, you're such a good boy, saving that young girl!" inko says. "I'll make you your favourite katsudon as celebration."
"YAY!" izuku throws his arms up happily. He jumps of the couch and runs to his room. He wanted to write down as much as he could about the quirks he witnessed. After about a week, the UA letter arrived in the mail. Izuku opened the letter and a hologram disk slipped out. He placed it on the table and it started up.
"I AM HERE as a hologram!" izuku instantly recognised the voice. "that's right, it is I All Might, why you ask, it is becuase starting this year I'm going to be a teacher at UA high school, now onto the rest, izuku Midoriya you scored one hundred and fifty points, which is unfortunately not enough to pass however, due to your heroic actions you recieved what we call rescue points, this brings your total up to two hundred and eighty, congratulations Midoriya, you have been accepted into the hero course of UA, PLUS ULTRA !" izuku grabs the disk and runs down to the loungeroom to see his mum.
" I passed, mum I passed !" he yells happily. Izuku didn't know what to do with his hands and he ends up pitching the hologram disk causing it to be embedded into the wall. Izuku quickly realises what has happened and tears spring to his eyes.
" I'm sorry" he cried. Inko rushes to her son and hugs him.
"it's okay, you were excited, no one got hurt that's all that matters, congratulations izuku." inko says squeezing izuku closer to her body in a tight hug.
