(Not) Completely Sane

Chapter 2: First Class Test.

Soon it is the first day of school. Izuku was so excited he got up super early. Inko was happy her son was looking forward to going to school. She remembered the years before his kidnapping, he would go to school but return with bruises and small burns. She knew he was getting bullied but since he never said anything she didn't know what to do about it. She is happy he's going to have katsuki at school as well but she's worried how he'll react, katsuki hasn't seen izuku for two years and becuase of the incident izuku's personality and mannerism have changed quite a bit.
"I'm ready to go mum!" she hears her son call out.
"okay, be safe and remember to be careful with others as well." she reminds her cute son who gives her a bright smile and playfully salutes.
"Yes, I will remember to play nicely." he says. Izuku checks his things one last time before heading out to the train station to go go school. When he arrived he went to look for his classroom. He soon locates the giant door with 1A written on a sign next to it.
" ah, found it, I almost got lost." he says. Izuku looks around and then takes a deep breath. The school and teachers all know about him but the students don't and he wants to make a good impression when he first meets them. Izuku slides the door open and looks at his classmates. The first thing he notices is the blue haired robot like boy going mad at another. Izuku beams when he sees the familiar spiky blood hair and hears the same aggressive voice that he remembers. He walks into the classroom.
"ah, you!" izuku jumps when he is suddenly called out by the robot boy when he is noticed.
"I apologise for my rude comments during the test, you were able to figure out the hidden meaning behind it!" he says.
"hidden meaning?" izuku says confused.
"you made it!" izuku swings around at the sound of another voice, a nice bubbly one. He sees the brown bobed girl behind him smiling at him brightly. Seeing her made him happy.
"my name is tenya iida." the robot boy says.
"and mine is ochaco uraraka." the girl next to him says.
"I'm izuku Midoriya!" he says happily introducing himself. Izuku senses something strange behind him and turns around to be met with a yellow sack catipilla like being. Izuku squats down intrigued by the thing that had appeared at the door of the classroom. When it starts moving to the teachers podium izuku is more captivated. Soon a human pops out of it. The sound of a zipper can be heard and the man steps out from the sack.
"it took you a minute to quiet down, my name is shota aizawa, I'm this classes home room teacher, put these on and meet me outside." aizawa announces. He chucks a sports uniform at a student and then leaves. After a few minutes the class was outside in the sports ground.
" what about orientation?" uraraka asks.
" orientation is a waste of time, at this school teachers are free to teach how they want, today I want to do a fitness test, like the ones done at normal schools but this time with quirks, and to add a twist, whoever comes last will be expelled"
" bakugo katsuki, what's your highest score when throwing a softball?" aizawa sensei asks.
"500 metres." bakugo responds.
"here, throw this but this time use your quirk." bakugo takes the soft ball from aizawa sensei's hand and take his place behind a white line. Izuku notices a smirk appear of his friends face before he pulls his arm back to throw the ball.
"DIE!" bakugo yells as he throws the ball with an explosion behind it sending it flying into the air. Aizawa looks at a small screen and then shows it to the class.
"750metres!"
"now everyone else do it."
"uraraka-san, you got infinity, that's amazing, that means your ball could reach the moon!" izuku says happily. Uraraka rubs the back of her head with a shy smile. Soon it was izuku's turn. Izuku goes to activate his quirk to throw the ball but nothing happens and it drops to the ground. Izuku looks at his hand confused. He looks to aizawa sensei
"i stopped your quirk." he says "you have almost no control over it."
"I can at least throw a ball with it." izuku says sadly.
"alright then, throw it again." he says. Izuku picks up the ball and sighs. Did this mean he had to throw it without his quirk.
"do i throw it without my quirk?" izuku asks.
"that would make him quirk less, sensei wasn't this to test our quirks?" Iida says. Aizawa sighs.
"if you think you can do it, throw with your quirk." he says. Izuku's eyes light up.
"thankyou sensei !" izuku turns to face down the playground. He feels the weight of the softball in his hand. Izuku pulls his arm back and throws the ball. Just before it left his hand it suddenly vanished.
"where'd the ball go?" uraraka asks.
"it's 384,400km away." aizawa says showing the other students the score.
"ah, I was thinking of the moon when I threw it." izuku confesses embarrassed.
"oi deku." izuku turns around to be met with bakugo standing with his hands shoved in his pockets.
"kacchan." he says happily. He wanted to hug him but he knows bakugo will get mad if he did.
"how'd you get that quirk, weren't you quirkless?" he asks.
"you're calmer than I thought you'd be kacchan!" izuku says happily "I don't remember!"
"what do you mean you don't fucking remember!" bakugo says his hands popping with small explosions.
"I cannot remember, isn't that enough of an explination?" izuku asks confused. A thought comes to izuku and he turns away from bakugo.
"uraraka-san, uraraka-san, my ball went to the moon!" izuku hops over to uraraka leaving bakugo fuming. .
"how do you know that Midoriya-kun?" she asks.
"becuase I was thinking of the moon when I threw it." izuku says.
"sensei, is there a way to find out if he is right?"
"there's a small camera in the ball." aizawa plays with the computer pad for a few moments before sighing. "he's right" aizawa turns the board around and shows the image from the ball. The whole class sees that the ball is floating near the moon. It spins around and shows earth.
"woah, that's awesome man." kirishima says grinning.
"okay, the test is finished now, here are the results." aizawa puts up the results on a board and everyone looked for their name.
"oh, I'm last." izuku says sadly.
"sensei, you didn't let izuku use his quirk until the end when he accidently activated it, you cannot kick him out!" uraraka says hoping their teacher will listen.
"the part about the explosion was a lie and even if it wasn't, I'm not allowed to expel Midoriya because of his circumstances" aizawa says.
"YAY, I'm not being kicked out, sensei, you will be helping me learn to control my quirk right?" izuku asks. Aizawa nods and izuku grins. "that's good becuase sometimes I end up stuck in walls."
"stuck in walls!"
"Midoriya-kun, what's your quirk?" Iida asks.
"it's called glitch!" izuku says spinning around to face Iida.
"glitch?" he says confused.
"yeah, like in a game." izuku says.
"enough chatter, you'll have time to descover each other's quirks, back to class" aizawa says.
