Did Rani know what was happening? No. While at the same time, yes. Kion was gone now, there was no way it could've come to that. Or could it?

A million questions buzzed inside her head, like a swarm of bees in their hive.

She could well remember that she and Kion had gone to a lake after running out Makucha and his minions that 6th time. It was the day after she lost her grandmother, and it still weighed heavily on her. She and Kion spoke very much that afternoon. And it seemed as if they were going to really connect for that one minute.

But now she knew better. After he had told her that he was not interested in love at the moment, it crushed her so much that she could not face him. It felt as if her soul had been darkened by the lies she were hoping to tell him.

It was to be an inevitable action, lying to Kion. Why shouldn't she stoop? I mean, she deserved it, didn't she?

She began to pace around as she pondered to herself about this matter. Her head was spinning from the dizziness inside her. Oh, how troubling this affair was. Everywhere she went, she heard murmurings about herself.

Apparently, the news had spread faster than wildfire.

Why on earth did they tell them?

Eventually, she found a place outside of the border where she could be alone. This place was safe now that Mama Binturong's army has gone forever.

She felt the tears roll down her face as she tried to keep them inside. However, she was not that strong. She couldn't hold back her stress. What kind of queen was she now?

"Hello Rani."

Now there was that strange voice. Her blood ran cold as she looked around and saw no one. But then, she heard the footsteps behind her. She turned around and gasped.

"You?!"
