Prolouge

Rani was surprised by a lot of things lately. But the thing that still amazed her was the of the 'Roar'. Turned out it was a special ability granted to certain lions. Though it hadn't been at the tree of life for years. It had been brought back by a lion called 'Kion' who had a scar on his face. And if all the stories of scarred lions were true, he was evil. It was even more peculiar that he was leading a small motley of animals.

A honey badger, a cheetah, a hippopotamus, and two different birds. Originally she and her night guard lions had chased the group away. But when her grandmother insisted she bring them back she learned more about the 'Roar'. To be honest, she was jealous because of how powerful it was. She wished she could do it, but neither she nor any of the other lions in her pride had this ability.

Then it came to her if she could convince Kion to stay at the tree of life, then her pride even more more mighty. It seemed like it would be a good first decision as Queen.

Rani complained to her older brother Bailyo about how things looked her she said "It doesn't seem fair that the Pridelands has the Roar all to themselves. We should have it too."

"But how are you going to get it?" Bailyo asked . "The roar has to be gifted. And most of the lions gifted went to, or have come from the Pridelands."

"I could pretend that I love Kion." Rani said. "Make him feel like he's important and that I won't be able to get along without him."

"But that's dishonest!" Exclaimed Bailyo backing away from his sister in disgust. "That's not how grandma raised us!"

"Maybe so, but she's not here anymore!" Rani snarled. "And I have to make the decisions I think are best for the Pridelands!"

Rani stormed away from her brother. And he was too shocked to make another comment. He just hoped if his sister went through with her plan no one would be hurt. But with that plan someone was bound to get hurt.
