Jzak98: Same here! We'll just have to wait and see!

Air-Crafter: I don't think she would risk hurting or banishing Ono as that would damage the trust she built.

I hope you all enjoy this chapter! Please follow and favorite so you get notifications when I update!

Rani made her way back to the Tree of Life. She knew that her new mate, Kion, was out attending to his king duties. From what she had just heard from the Honey Badger and the Egret, she had realized that all of her plans for the future of her Pride was in jeopardy.

They were talking about things that they didn't understand.. What business did they have to meddle in their new Queen's affairs? However, their snooping around could prove to be a possible problem for what she had planned. If they found out her intent and told Kion, he would start asking questions. And if she knew Kion, questions with him would soon lead to suspicion.

She sat on the throne that Queen Janna had left to her before her tragic passing. Such high Hope's that were held for her. She knew better than anyone that everything that seemed invincible could Somehow crumble. And that was just what might happen to her kingdom because of one bird and badger.

Of course she didn't want to kill them, heaven forbid. However, she had to make it how this would all be kept under wraps.

The question being: how?

She had to think fast. Every minute she spent worrying on this matter expanded the threat made to her plans. But then again, if she did something too drastic, then she could have Kion's friends against her and the Pride.

"Ullu?" She called.

The Snowy owl entered the tree almost instantly. "You called, Queen Rani?"

"Have you seen Kion today?"

"I have actually." The Owl answered. "He's been settling a dispute between the Red River hogs and the Jaguars."

"I thought they were already at peace." Rani said.

"Well, they were. But then the Hog leader and the Jaguar Alpha both ran out if water and they had their eyes set on the same watering hole."

"Hmm, glad Kion settles that. Those are both strong species, so if they started fighting, there could've been trouble for the Kingdom. Speaking of..."

"Queen Rani?" Ullu questioned.

"Have you been noticing that Ono and Bunga have been acting a bit strange lately?" Rani stood up.

"Strange? Well Bunga I understand that, but Ono?" Ullu tilted her head.

"Could happen to anyone, Ullu. From what I understand it, Ono's been spreading some strange rumors about me. I don't know what could've started this, but recently, he's been talking about things he doesn't understand. And now he's trying to get Bunga into it as well"

"Gosh, well what do we do about it?" Ullu asked.

"We do the best thing we can do." Rani answered. "We keep an eye on him and Bunga, make sure this doesn't go any further. We have to make sure that nobody believes what he's saying. If that happened, we would have riots and fights everywhere."

"You can count on me, your Majesty." Ullu said before flying out.

The poor Owl. She did not know what she was getting herself into. A part of her wanted to deny what Rani had just told her. On the other hand, or wing in this matter, she also did not want things to grow too serious, like they almost did with the Hogs and Jaguars. Little did she know: things would take the shape of this thought, in one form or another.

All it needed was time.

Oh! there are "threats" Well, she sees them as that but what will she do about it? I guess Rani will have to change the type of approach she is using to trick Kion!
