🐺🐺🐺CHAPTER 4🐺🐺🐺
By the time I had finished the book (it was too good too put down), bells rang indicating it was lunchtime. To be honest my stomach could have come to that conclusion. I was soooooo hungry. Ugh but I need to shower. Food, or shower. Food or shower. My stomach grumbled. Food it is then. I slid off the bed and into the jeans I was wearing when I arrived and the t-shirt I was wearing under my jumper. I tied my hair back into a bun. I sniffed under my arms and winced. I rushed to the bathroom and quickly wiped under my arms. I wish I had deodorant. Whatever.
I sprinted down the hall, which was a feat in itself, in attempt to find the dining room. I think I underestimated my hunger because somehow I remembered the long route. I paused to catch my breath outside the big doors. I pushed one of the doors open and stepped through. Lunch apparently wasn't a huge deal, because only Rowan, Lorcan, Aelin and Fenrys were there.
"Thanks for the book, Aelin. It was pretty good." She grinned.
"Even chapter 32?" She winked at me and I laughed, that chapter was a...chapter 55. Need I say more.
"Especially that chapter." Aelin hooted with laughter as I sat down next to her.
"I'm surprised King Dorian has read that though." I continued and Aelin shrugged.
"He hasn't, I've been trying to get him to for ages but he says it's not his thing."
"You know what I think? I think he secretly loves it and reads it in his room at night where no one can see." Aelin's eyes lit up with humour.
"I think you're right." I grinned and started piling food on my plate. God these potatoes are to die for. Fenrys coughed from across from me.
"Uh, how...are you?" He attempted and I glared at him and turned back to my food. Rowan and Lorcan chuckled, while Aelin rolled her eyes.
"You've got a handful with that one, pup." Rowan said.
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?" I demanded and Fenrys sunk into his seat. Even Lorcan and Rowan seemed to sag slightly as I turned my glare to them. Aelin looked like this was the most fun she had had in years. I scowled and stabbed my bread roll. I slathered a generous amount of butter on it and bit it. I almost moaned. Sooooo good.
"You looked really good at training, you've got great reflexes." Was this guy for real? I looked up at him and pointed at him, then down at my shirt (AN: If you can't see the picture, her shirt says 'bitch'.). Aelin lost it and doubled over with laughter, even Rowan had a glint in his eye. Fenrys smiled too.
"I like you." Aelin commented and I mocked a bow.

After lunch I followed Aelin as she took me on a tour. Just as were going into the library, a warm hand tugged my arm and I found myself face to face with Fenrys.
"Why are you mad at me?" Seriously?
"Because you called me a prostitute!" He looked slightly guilty.
"Right. Uh about that. I-it-I-as a fae male, it is wired into us to protect females," He held up a hand to stop my protests, "Even if they can protect themselves. And here, we don't normally wear clothes that...revealing. I was worried that someone would do something to you, my worries turned to anger and I'm sorry." I blinked. Well that sort of made sense. Maybe I had over-reacted slightly.
"Are you sure you weren't just jealous." I flirted, smirking, and he grinned as he saw I had forgiven him.
"Maybe there was a little bit of jealousy."
"A little bit?" I taunted and he playfully rolled his eyes. I started to follow Aelin into the library and held out a hand when Fenrys tried to come too. I pointed at the sign next to the door.
"No dogs allowed in the library."
"Well it's a good thing I'm a wolf then." He stalked past me dragging me into the library with him. I gaped. I have never seen so many books in my life. Ever. Is this heaven?
Aelin was sat on one of armchairs nearest and her eyes lit up when she saw us come in.
"Made up, have you?"
"Oh yes, the make up sex was brilliant." I blew Fenrys a kiss as I sat in a chair next to Aelin. She laughed as Fenrys waggled his eyebrows.
"Even more so then the normal sex?" I shrugged and swivelled to face Aelin.
"Have you read all of these books?" I asked her in amazement and she shook her head.
"Of course not. There are millions of books here." Millions. Of books. I think I might die. I fanned my face and said dramatically.
"I think I'm in heaven."
"If you think this is heaven, just wait till you're in my bed." Fenrys purred leaning forward and my toes curled in my boots. Aelin cleared her throat.
"So, can I show you the romance section, or are you too busy flirting?" I blushed and stood up with her. Aelin led me over to a section the left.
"I ship it." She announced when we got out of hearing range. I stared at her, surely she didn't mean...At my look she clarified.
"You and Fenrys. I ship it."
"W-what? I've only been here a day." I spluttered. She raised an eyebrow.
"Haven't you read any romance novels? Love at first sight?" She gave me a pointed look and I let out a laugh, shaking my head. That really was absurd.
"Now you're being silly. We get along well, that's all." She hummed her disagreement.
"Are you actually going to show me the books, or gossip about my love life?" She smirked and opened her mouth but I cut her off.
"Just show me the books." She grinned and started pulling books off various shelves. Once she had a stack she pointed at all her favourite ones and told me what they were about.
"Dorian and Manon are arriving tomorrow, a day ahead of schedule, so you can meet them." Aelin told me as she leafed through a book. She read something and made a face.
"Ew, I can't believe they ended up together." I laughed.
"Do you have any gossip, or dirt on anyone from the books? Anyone people ship together?" Aelin said finally, putting the book down. I half smiled.
"You can't tell anyone, but the fandom ships Fenrys and Dorian." Aelin raised her eyebrows in shock and sniggered.
"Manon won't be pleased.
"Don't tell her then."
"But why though?"
"Because when Dorian met them at Rolfe's he mentioned something about Fenrys being the most handsome male he had ever seen, in his head of course." Aelin slapped a hand on the table in her laughter.
"Thats brilliant! Now I know why he was so awkward around the Cadre last time!"
"And what do you think? Am I the most handsome male you've ever seen." A deep voice said from behind me and I winced. How had I not heard him come up? I turned and sucked in a breath through my teeth as I pretend too assess him.
"You're OK. Honestly I think Rowan is way more attractive." I teased and he pouted.
"I'm wounded." He held a hand over his heart. Except it was the wrong side.
"Your heart is on the left side, idiot." He quickly shifted his hand and continued to look at me with puppy dog eyes. I couldn't help laughing as I stared at him. He grinned proudly at the sound.
"OK you lovebirds, I'm afraid I have to steal Sophia for a while, we have much to discuss." Aelin tugged me out the door and I hope I wasn't blushing too much.
