Chapter Eight: Rose

After that incident with Brittany, the guys have been teasing him all day about it. I couldn't believe that bitch thinks that he wants her. Of all people why would he want her? She’s a slut that spreads her legs to anything that moves. Why would anyone want that? I sound like a jealous girlfriend. Ugh, why do I feel this way about him? He's a player, Why would he like someone like me. I get abused for god sake. He doesn't want to put up with that and I would never put him in that situation. My step-dad would kill him. Ryder is way stronger than him but he isn't bulletproof. He's killed once he would do it again if he finds out Ryder knows.

Flashback 5 years ago

I'm on my way home, when I walked through the door I see my best friend tied to a chair all beaten and bruised. I run-up to her and say " OH MY GOD, what did he do to you? I’m so sorry this is all my fault..."  when all of a sudden I get hit from behind, everything went black. 

When I came to I was tied to a chair across from my best friend. My stepdad was smiling twirling a knife around his finger. "Ah, you’re finally awake. It took you long enough bitch."  "let her go, you son of a bitch" I yell that was the first time I stud up to him and for that, he slowly started to cut into her. All I could hear was her screaming in pain. 

" you shouldn't have told her. That was very bad of you I might just have to punish you ." with that he pulled out a gun and shot her. "NOOOOOOOOOO" I screamed. I started to sob. he killed my one and only friend. He started to laugh, with an evil smile on his face. He slowly started making his way over to me. "This is all your fault, just like it was your fault that your mother is dead." then he stabbed me. "Now go get rid of the body."

End of flashback

I can’t believe he made me bury my friend after he tortured her then killed her. I could feel the tears run down my face as I remember it. "Are you okay?" Ryder asks with concern in his eyes. I forgot I was at his house. After school Ryder wouldn't let me go home so I went to his house to stay another night. "Yeah, yeah I’m fine. Sorry, I just got cot up in my thoughts." He comes over to me and pulls me into a hug. He started to rub cycles on my back calming me down.
