As they left the gang behind in the classroom, Astrid and Heather made their way to the head teacher of the sports teams since Astrid wanted to sign up for the swim team.

"So," Heather started with a smirk on her face. "How's it been with the Haddock boy?"

Astrid snorted and turned a bright shade of red when the name of her huge crush was mentioned. She started fanning her face with one hand and loosened her tie with the other, trying to let the heat cool off her face before she met with the sports coordinator. "Everything's been fine! Why do you say so?" she asked nervously, her eyes glancing at Heather out from the corner.

"Well, Hiccup does seem happier than he ever was, but also a bit concerned with you," the raven headed girl stated cautiously, afraid she might strike a nerve of her new best friend.

Astrid sighed. "In a way yeah, something did happen. I can hear your question from the look in your eyes, H. The thing is that I just found out that my friends from Wing Island have completely cut me off from their lives..." she said with a hint of sadness.

Heather's eyes softened and gazed at the blonde girl sympathetically. She knew how it was to be abandoned by lifelong friends, and she definitely didn't want it to happen to anyone else. "Hey, I can never replace your old friends, but I can guarantee you that I'll be by your side throughout our journey together as besties this day forth," she said, gaining Astrid's attention. She swung an arm over the blonde's shoulders. "After all, this is what real friends do, stick up for one another, and never abandon them."

Her best friend smiled. "Thanks H, I really appreciate our friendship, and you're one of the greatest people I've ever met in my life. We've got each other's backs."

The two girls smirked and fist bumped before Heather pulled her arm off Astrid. "By the way, you still haven't told me about Hiccup yet."

"Ah about that, he uh," Astrid paused for a moment as she cleared her throat, nervousness engulfing her as she recalled Hiccup's kiss the night before. "Hiccup kissed me on the cheek and called me milady last night right before running home in embarrassment."

Heather's eyes widened in shock and amusement. She was extremely surprised that Hiccup had already made a move, knowing he was never the type to do so, especially so quickly. "You know, it sounds like Hiccup is head over heels for a particular blonde girl," she said with a wink, making Astrid roll her eyes playfully. "And since he has had a history of losing his mind when nervous and excited, he probably did those involuntarily."

Astrid scoffed. "You know, I totally don't think Hiccup has a thing for me. Sure, we've had a pretty unusual time together, but I guess he's just nervous with a new friend, after all you said he's not usually so welcoming. Besides, we were alone when it happened, that could've made him nervous, or maybe he was jokingly being the flirt I called him last week," she paused for a moment as she thought about their moment the night before. "And uh please don't tell him about my crush on him, I don't want our new friendship to be ruined."

Heather groaned. "Fine suit yourself." She wasn't going to force the news into Astrid. If she would ever discover about Hiccup's feelings for her, she would have to hear it from Hiccup herself. Hiccup hadn't told her exactly that he had feelings for Astrid, but she didn't need to hear it. She had gotten to know him too well over the few years and he could never hide anything from her anymore. One thing for sure was that he was more dramatic than anyone else when exhibiting his true feelings.

Moments later, they arrive at a door with a huge label on it: Ryker Grimborn, Sports Coordinator. Heather nodded towards it, encouraging Astrid to knock. However, Astrid had one last question for her.
