Astheum's POV

Finally walking into this grand living room with high ceilings and posh furniture. There Lucan stood his face was lost in thought, even as I crept over towards him he was unaware of my presence. Reaching around his waist I hug him tightly. He slightly jumps to swing me, I duck down so fast I swear I got whiplash his face intent to kill. Then he realizes it's just me and he lowers his hand pulling me off my feet and into his arms.

"What was that?" I ask him in confusion.

"Nothing. What took you so long?" He asks pulling me slightly away from his grip.

"Nothing." I reply with the same coldness he had given me just seconds ago.

Lucan being Lucan, wasn't too keen with my response and I could see him immediately change his body language. Personally I didn't care he could stick it up his butt for all I care. The air around the room got heavier, the bright lighting from the lamps began fading, the high ceilings started to crash down on me, and all I could see was Lucan's eyes shifting from red to pure black.

Get out of here! Lilia said.
What's going on?!
Delphic is going insane! He wants to show us dominance. He wants to claim us!
What?
Delphic wants us. You've shown him disrespect and he's agitated now. It's been a long time and he's been mateless! It's amazing he's held out for so long. If you don't want to consummate the marking. Get out of here!
Will he continue to hurt?
No duh Sherlock!

"Please Love. Leave. I don't want to do this to you." Lucan said as his eyes constantly shifting from purple to red.

His eye's reflecting pain, restrain, and fear. My heart wasn't afraid. I wasn't afraid at all, I was more anxious than anything. Moving towards him I close the gap between us and hug him tightly. His body heat radiates off him onto me, and it comforts me, even relaxes me. I smile and felt his arms tightly wrap around my waist. The lighting keeps dimming and darkness consumes us. This feeling is perfect and this moment is perfect.

I didn't have to worry about Gilbert or this crazy fact that I'm a Perennial Seraph.

"I need you." Lucan whispers as he knelt down toward my right ear.

My body shivers as he lightly circles my lower back with his left hand and with his right he's holding me tightly against his hard form. He sounds so vulnerable, needy, and in pain my heart wrenches. I look into his morphing red and violet eyes. I knew I didn't need the marking moment to be romantic. Heck, I didn't even know anyone's to compare it to really begin with. I just knew I didn't want it to be all the cute. I wouldn't of mind if he plans it and everything, but this moment is just a breathtaking. When you have this beautiful man wanting to dominate you and he's been waiting for you for over twenty millenniums. And still, with every moment, movement, breath. He still looks at you with the same love, admiration, and passion like the first time. There wasn't a need to wait any longer. My heart had been set since I remember my first dream about him.

"Okay." I say, "I love you."

"For forty six millenniums." Lucan says and everything was priceless after that.
