I Didn't Know

Astheum's POV

The view before me was priceless and not only beautiful, but stunning as well. The moon was full and instead of silver, it was gold like the sun. It shone like the sun too, but a bit more dimmer and less intense. The clouds are a light beige color, the air is as hot as coal, but not hot enough to boil your skin off. This kingdom is breathtaking and as I turn around I see Lucan standing there eyeing me. It was as if he was awaiting my approval. It was as if, I said anything with discontent he would change it as fast as the scorching wind that hit my face. But he didn't have the power to do that did he?

"It's beautiful." I said as he stares into my eyes try to discern if I was lying or not.

Soon he smiles at me and I swear the world didn't move. I felt as if it has been so long since I had seen that smile.  For some reason I could not understand why. Lucan Crepuscule was a man who continuously invades my heart and my mind while I'm asleep.

"It's been so long since we've seen each other Astheum Incandescent. I was about to give up and join you." Lucan said lightly brushing away the stray hairs off my face.

Once he said my name I shiver in anticipation and lean into his hand to feel the sparks.

"Lucan I..."

"Big brother!" A little boy with light blonde hair and red eyes said screaming through the door.

Lucan looked up and his face hardens. "Jenus. What happened? What brings you to my chambers?"

I look at Lucan upset because this little boy called Jenus was about to piss his pants for barging in Lucan's chambers. I slap Lucan's arm lightly and he looks at me instantly. In an instant his face softens and I walk over to Jenus smiling saying, "What's the matter little one?"

He looks up at me as if he had seen an angel or something because he was completely star struck.

I lightly tap his shoulders and it seems as if that little action brought him back to life again.

"Ummm..." He said while blushing immensely, "King Adradtos and Queen Agafya are seeking your attendance milady and Prince Lucan."

I look at Lucan in surprise, Prince Lucan. My mind begins to waver and I start to feel pressure, immense pressure.
My other half was a Prince... which would make me a....
Princess idiot.

I feel someone grab my hand and instantly know it was Lucan. I turn to look at him and he smiles innocently at me. As if I was upset at him or something. I nod my head at him and lightly squeeze his hand to show him I was okay and we follow the little boy, Jenus. We stood in front of two grand wooden door before they could swing the doors open. I was already assuming it was the King Adradtos and Queen Agafya and I froze. Fear swallows me like a sandwich and I was afraid of judgment by the people who Lucan cares for the most.

It was as if Lucan could sense my fear and he grabs ahold of my hand and looks at me in the eyes saying, "Are you sure you're ready for this?"

With him saying those words to me, my heart calms and I nod my head. The guards open the door for Jenus, Lucan and I and there before us sat a beautiful woman and a handsome man. Along side them were two boys that had the appearance of their mother while the three girls had the appearance of their father.

"Son. You've come home." The man said and his voice thick and deep.

Lucan smiles and immediately the lady comes bolting down the room grabbing Lucan and embracing him tightly saying, "You haven't been home for millenniums tell me where have you gone! Why is it that you haven't been home! Gilbert!"

"Mom." Lucan said in a calm tone that sounds exactly like his father, "I want you to meet my mate Astheum Lustrous."

I smiled at her weakly. I afraid of rejection, just like own mother. She turns her head towards me and realize I was shielding myself behind Lucan. She kindly smiles at me and saying, "Why aren't you beautiful. Did he spend all this time looking for you?"

I smile shyly and say, "Actually he spent all this time waiting for me."

One of the brothers whistles and starts waking closer towards me. He had light blonde hair like his mother but it it was wavy, his eyes were deep green just like his mom too, he had a strong jaw like his father, he was fit but not as fit as Lucan. He and opens his mouth to say,
"Your girl is beautiful. Why not share brother?"

Lucan tugs me towards his body to shield me from him. "I will not share my mate, Devo, why not search for yours?"

"Devo! Enough! Young Astheum come here and let me look at you closer." Lucan's father said.

I slowly walked across the grand black marble floor and ascend the three steps and bow in front of him to show my respect. I could hear Lucan growling behind me because of that action but I could ultimately careless. Lucan's father had a strong jaw, red eyes like Lucan, thick bushy eyebrows, short shaggy jet black hair. Lucan was almost the spitting image of his father. King Adradtos opens his mouth saying, "Please Astheum there's no need for you to bow in front of any of us you are family. Please call us by our first names no need for formality."

Right when I was going to speak Jenus runs into the room eagerly saying, "Gilbert is getting weaker! He's not going to make it! Hurry please! Everyone must see him before he goes!"

As Jenus was the first to leave with everyone else in pursuit afterwards. Running through massive hallways, anyone could've gotten lost. Even I could've gotten lost but I knew we all had be there so I kept all my concentration on not getting lost. After what felt like ages we finally stood in front of the door with the Gilbert right on the other side.

Sorry loves for my late updates! I've just been losing the writing fever and have to kick back into gear with it! I just started University so in trying to incorporate my writing into my daily schedule! Has anyone watched Dracula:Untold yet? Oh my goodness that is the movie!
